So I rewatched The Slatch & Scratch Sagas the other day and decided to finish an old sketch I did while the series was still coming out. I think it turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself!

This series is pretty obscure outside of Scratch so I don’t blame you if you have no idea what this is. Basically, it’s about the series’ creator, WazzoTV, fighting to save the website from various evils. This poster is specifically based on the first half of the series, referred to as The Slatch Saga.

It’s a really fun and really underrated series, which I’d highly recommend. It’s insanely well-made considering that:

A majority of it was done by a single college kid.

It was animated almost entirely on a programming website intended for young kids that doesn’t have onion-skinning, a timeline, or anything. You can’t even pause or skip ahead in a video. It’s very much not designed for serious animation projects like this.

It started entirely as a joke.

TL;DR - I did a drawing based on a silly series of Scratch animations that I think everyone should be supporting because it’s actually insane what Wazzo and his crew have managed to pull off.
