Ruff n tuff refer to their dragon as Barch and together they become the Barchnuts

The twins call Fishlegs and Meatlug as fishmeat since leglug was kind of a tongue twister (and not as funny)

Snotlout tried to get Assfly going but Astrid shut that down, though she and Stormfly do respond to Stormstrid

Dagur doesn't respond to nicknames since he was bullied as a kid so now he only responds to his name or his title, but Mala and Heather do get passes (with endearments and light teasing respectively)

Ruffnut and Astrid like to gang up on Snotlout, who always complains with:

Snotlout doesn't like being called boyo since that's what his dad uses against him; it took ruff and tuff a few times to realize he flinches with the name and eventually they stop using it against him too

When Valka returned she had a hard time remembering everyone's names so she came up with easier ways to remember them

Astrid is her daughter [:, Snotlout is her nephew, she has to hear their voices to figure out which twin is which but soon realized they have different eye colours so now she just grabs them by the shoulder and stares into their eyes to figure it out

on that note, all of the gang’s mental health- hiccup clearly overworks and blames himself for everything, astrid has obvious anger issues and pent up rage, snotlout pretends to think he’s better than everyone else to mask his cripplingly low self esteem, fishlegs 100% has anxiety or some kind of panic disorder, ruff is already canonically frustrated with being “a woman in a man’s world” and doesn’t feel appreciated enough, and tuff doesn’t seem to value his own well being very much- not to mention that he literally has hallucinations sometimes

and dagur definitely has something that causes him to be in a constant state of mania

gustav and his parents- he said his mother only notices he’s gone after the third day????

at least one person on berk has (consensually) fucked a dragon. give me some background on that.
