I was gently nudged by the wonderful @digitalsatyr23 and at just the right time because I am trying to drag myself back into #LunarWIP - so thank you for this!

As far as how this game works, there's a huge list of different themes, and you can mark ones in bold if they're major themes in your WIP or in italic if they're minor themes.

These are all snippets from LunarWIP:

RED

The narrow staircase eventually led to a low-ceilinged room with a few fire torches burning on the red stone walls. A narrow corridor stretched before me with rusting iron bars on either side forming six cells in total. It was such a stark contrast to the light, airy manor above.

ORANGE

Caspian’s hands vanished from my skin and cold air replaced them as he leapt for the window. I twisted on the bed, hastily grabbing at the blankets as I tried to sit up, my head swimming. Shadows swirled around Caspian as he stood at the window, every muscle tensed ready to spring to action. The perfect predator. The pure moonlight that had caressed his body moments before was replaced by harsh orange light. Fire.

YELLOW

Esmerae was by my side, positively glowing in her radiant golden dress. She’d woven giant daisies into braids that circled her head like a crown and wore a necklace of yellow crystals around her swanlike neck. The delicate bells tied to ribbons around her wrist tinkled sweetly as we walked.

GREEN

I felt his tired heart jump and he lifted his head to look at me except… he couldn’t. He couldn’t see me. My stomach emptied at the sight of those horribly dark voids. They had taken his eyes. His beautiful, mossy green eyes. Eyes that had looked over the forest for centuries. Eyes I had loved. Tears streamed freely down my face as I reached for him.           

BLUE

I turned slowly, gripping tight to the hilt of Caspian’s dagger as I faced the Elven King. He stood impossibly tall with long blonde hair flowing passed his shoulders and crushing blue eyes full of ice that trapped me in their frozen stare. Rich green and brown robes cut close to his slender body camouflaged him almost perfectly against the forest behind and a monstrous crown of golden antlers adorned with emeralds and diamonds sat atop his head.

INDIGO

Nothing here!

VIOLET

Also Me: But what if we write LunarWIP from Caspian's perspective... It never needs to see the light of day but it will help us with writing his character and understanding his motives.

This is a snippet from the first draft of #LunarWIP which is currently being redrafted...

My feet stopped so suddenly it was as if I'd hit an invisible wall and my breath caught in my throat. There he was. Even with his back to me, I knew it was him. That somehow my dreams had come to life. Shadows draped themselves seductively over him as he stood there, my bow in his sun kissed hands. He felt so real. An aura of comforting darkness swirled around him mingled with the scent of jasmine I had smelled so many times in my dreams. Though I was frozen in place, my heart was hammering so violently in my chest it made my entire body tremble. “It’s rude to stare, you know.” That velvet smooth voice was deep and drawling with a hint of playfulness.

In sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came. That voice which calls to me and speaks my name.

The rewrites of LunarWIP have begun and the first part has been done to the sound of the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack on loop.

This duology could be the one to make it out of the realm of forgotten, half finished novels.

LunarWIP has a sequel!

Now I've finished the first draft of LunarWIP I have to leave it alone for a couple months before I start the redrafts and actually make it into something resembling a real novel... HOWEVER because I'm a sucker for pain I've decided to dive straight into rough drafting the sequel.
