Unguarded Future_

[Pokes at the food and rolls her eyes.] I don’t need your help. Bet I’m doing better than you anyways.

-sits up- No way! My grades are way bett—- -sits down, grumbles- We’ll see. -stares down irritably before taking a bite of his food and looking away- Stupid girl. 

[Glares at him, taking a bite of her own food.] I heard that, shrimp.

You’re just saying that because last time it was a draw. [Frowns and enters the cafeteria.]

-keeps pace, folding his arms and looking to the side- Yeah, but I’ll definitely beat you this time. Anyways, do your homework?

[Picks up a tray and waits in line, releasing a small sigh as she reads what’s on the menu.] No.

-grabs a tray, scanning the menu as well- Me neither. It’s a pain, but gonna go do it afterschool. If you need help, you can join. O-only because I’d feel bad if you lost both in clubs and school though.

 [Grabs a few things and puts them on her tray, then grabs her main meal, grimacing a little before leaving to sit at a table.] Is that your way to ask for help?

-grabs a drink and his meal on his tray, sitting opposite of her- Like I need it from you! Tch. Just wondering in case you needed /my/ help.  -sips his milk-

*shakes his head* nope. i’m from all the way out in the country, in a small farming town. nothing like this place at all.

I see... [Hands him back his schedule] I come from the beach, but I guess the difference isn't as big. It was surrounded by the city, sorta.
