Stuff About Life

1.     There’s no way to adulthood without coffee or tea!

15. Give a balance between watching screen and facing your people’s face.

16. Be goofy sometimes. That will keep your heart from getting older.

Last but not least!!

I’m a student of an English language teaching department at a state university in Malang, and I used to hate to imagine that I’m going to be a classroom teacher in the future..

No, I hate it not because I consider it as a less important job, but in contrast, I consider this job as the most important, valuable and meaningful job! It’s a kind of a big deal, and I just can’t imagine myself handling responsibilities that teachers acquire.

Yup.. I just can’t imagine myself handling a class containing 30 students, teach them some material, get them be interested and active in class, making sure they understand what I’m talking about, bringing students’ work to be corrected at my home and other things.

I’m just not a kind of person who is patiently working on other people’s children needs. And to be honest, I’m not a kind of person who is highly responsible about task related to community welfare. In other words, I cannot work for/with other people. #BADGIRL #SOLAME #LOSER

So this past few years I’ve been thinking about having an easy job which requires no responsibility.

And do you know what I found?

Nothing.

I was so naive, huh?

There’s no such job in the world that requires no responsibility.

My finding comes along with my own experience and exploration.

I thought that become a freelancer would make me free. But that such a wrong assumption. There still is.

I work as a freelance private English teacher and still I have to prepare for the material, method, and techniques in order to make the students get the point. I also need to deal with their parents about whether I’m good enough or not in developing their children’s English skill.

And sometimes I’m suck with this job. There are times when I’m not in a good mood to teach and not well-prepared about the materials. There are also times when the students are not in a good mood to study with me, and they behave as they want.

This crap of responsibility is not only in freelancing. Entrepreneur, writer, illustrator, artist and other jobs that most people think are ‘responsibility free’ actually still requires responsibility.

Because responsibility is the one that makes working people different that jobless ones.

So what’s the point of my writing?

Hmm.. well.. actually I’m just sharing my story about my early adulthood..

I don’t really mean to deliver a message through this writings, LOL

I’m sorry, it’s just a pointless article

1.     Do the laundry feels like taking forever

When I was child, my mom do the laundry. Simply, because I had no idea what to do about the laundry. My hands were too small to do that job, and my muscle was too weak to do the chore. But as I come to adulthood and live separately from my parents, the real tough life starts begin. I am so busy about my school/work, and as I come to our apartment there is a pile of laundry waiting to be done. And yeah, in my precious time, do the laundry feels like taking forever to be done -_-

 2.     I become really appreciate the value of my money

When I was kid, I had no idea about living cost. All I did were just playing around, sleeping and eating. I didn’t quite aware about how much does it cost for buying groceries, how much does it cost for buying detergent and softener and etc. But when I come to adulthood,,, ta-daaaa~~~ it feels like I have a very limited amount of money with unlimited amount of needs. At this time, I become more aware about my money value. I started thinking about what I spend my money on, and even how to get my own income.

And yupp, I should pay myself on such a boring and depressing thing before I can really enjoy my own income which actually won’t be much, to be honest ;)

 3.     I never eat until I get the ultimatum from my stomach

Yeah, I come to my part of life where food do not cook themselves. I welcome myself to the world where there’s no mum food. I’ve started learn how to cook, but it doesn’t work as my busy schedule annoyingly haunting me. I often buy some groceries, but at the end, they are just rotting in my fridge and get dumped L. So, I usually just buy cooked meals from some small stall around my campus/apartment. But the thing is, I often forget to eat. I’m not totally aware of my eating schedule, until that time when my stomach screaming out loud to give me it’s ultimatum.

4.     ME TIME is a must!!!

I’m an introvert and of course me time is a must to keep me survive in this extroverted world. But as I come to this early adulthood, me time is getting more important than ever! I become easily irritated when I don’t get enough me time. I used to have about 3-4 hours me time a day, but now it’s increased into about 6-8 hours me time a day.

Yeah, I think me time is an important thing for young adults, it will give us inspiration and give us a space to reflect/evaluate ourselves so we can be more creative and wise in facing this tough world.

 5.     Having my own ‘First Aid Kit’ feels awesome

“Yahoo!! Welcome to a tough world where you have to treat yourself when you’re sick” I said to myself. In this part of life, there will be no mum’s chicken soup when I have fever. There will be no one who gives me a massage when I have colds. I had never buy my own medicine when I got sick, all medicine is provided by my parents when I was kid. But here I am today, spending some of my money to buy first aid kit that may be helpful when I get a sudden illness. And do you know how does it feel? I’m feeling pretty awesome!!! Feeling like I’m a mature adult already! Pretty yeaayy!!

 *well, the point is that I feel pretty awesome when I do something that I didn’t do in my childhood :v

 6.    The home in my hometown doesn’t feel like my own home any longer

at this 21 years of age, I didn’t feel homesick as I used to be. Even when I left my apartment at holiday, I don’t feel excited as used to be. I just feel like the home in my hometown isn’t my home any longer, it’s my parents’. Even I haven’t had my own home at this time, at least my apartment feels like my comfort. All of the stuff in my apartment are my own choice and I feel really comfortable with all of them even they’re not as complete as the ones in my hometown. And when I look at my stuff in my hometown, I feel like they’re not part of me,,, feels like they’re somebody else’s. Feeling like the ‘old me’ and the ‘now me’ is a different person…

 but of course,, my parents still feel like my comfort.

 *sorry for this pointless shit

Okay, that’s it. Actually there are some more things that I feel but I guess that I’m too lazy to write them all, LOL..

By the way, anyone of you feel the same thing as I wrote above?
