As far as knowing what powers they posses you have Scott, who literally exposits his abilities to the audience (like a true actor I love this character choice oh my gosh-), and Drift does something similar as well. Despite not explaining each power, Pearl, Cleo, Legs, and Shelby seem to fully understand their abilities as well. Compare them to Owen and Nobody who, by their own word, can’t fully control/don’t understand their powers (I haven’t gotten to their povs so correct me if something’s wrong).

Then Apo and Sausage are interesting in a different way. They didn’t have any foreknowledge of their powers. Sausage stumbled into his leap by trying it, and Apo literally had to get high for her dreamwalking to accidentally activate the first time. But unlike Nobody and Owen they seem just fine using all their powers effectively. In Cleo’s pov we also see Drift, who was already aware of all of her abilities, accidentally cast some sort of plague/famine thing, showing a lack of control (though this was likely a cc! misclick and not intentional to her character).

Combine this with only certain champions being able to commune with their gods (Scott and Apo), and only certain champions recieving weapons or armor, and it makes an interesting picture.

Either the gods were so hasty to start this game that they couldn’t establish a concrete ruleset, or certain gods gave their champions an advantage. Or maybe this is also indicative of how qualified each champion is. Idk, just food for thought.

When AJ was reading it out to Drift she said "During our interview..."

Princess Rynn are you doing those on the regular and not telling us? Cause I feel like the only interview I've seen you give is to Duskie.

(Just know I'm talking about tf! characters from here on but I'm not puting the tag every time.)

On the way to the crypt Pyro notices AJ eating raw chicken, calls it out, and then she blatantly ignores him. Isn't even able to deflect. He doesn't push it, but one of the first things he does once he finds AJ after she was separated is offer her food, all that he has. Kinda shows how tactial he is, and it's also cool that he and Scott are the only ones to have noticed any of AJ's issues with food.

Even more importantly, when Pyro straight up asks if she needs food, AJ says yes! Scott had to practically shove the dumplings in her hands, and even then she didn't eat them. She was so shaken up she showed vulnerability by accepting help from someone that, though she gets along with and likes him, she hadn't met until like two days ago. Somehow even more mind boggling is that even after being so rattled and accepting help, she still only takes the bare minimum before throwing the other potatoes back.

Throughout the stream we kinda saw the affects of long term starvation hit AJ. Even with the coffee she was lagging behind the entire journey there. When fake Legs smashed her into the wall she took it far worse than ever before, and struggled to even put on the front of being okay. But somehow she would rather find, kill, and eat RAW a chicken instead of asking for food, which is another thing that makes the moment with Pyro so cool.

Then we have Graecie confronting the Legs ghost for AJ and offering blood. AJ doesn't quite know or understand what she's doing but gets that Graecie is putting herself in harms way to stop it from going after her. AJ then sees it as her now being on the recieving end of all the self sacrificial bs she mocked the celestial metals quartet for for so long. She gets mad at Graecie for helping her even as she can't articulate why.

But then when Drift is getting uncomfortable confronting her own shade, and notably not before, AJ hits it and runs away, drawing its attention onto herself. She'd been taunting the ghost Drift and ready to move on until she thought the real Drift needed help. The exact same 'self sacraficial bs' she despised before. And I may be misremembering, but I think she does something kinda in a similar vein when the fake Graecie appears. She was willing to use her magic on it, until she remembered she couldn't anymore.

There's whatever the actual fuck that shadow figure is. I'd like to assume it's the same one as in Aimsey's first animatic, but there's really no way to confirm that. Interestingly, I think that means they've visited the crypt, right? Whoever it is, AJ is terrified, to the point of spilling her guts to 'Drift' once she finds her in the crypt. That moment is vying for the spot of most vunlerability she's shown, at least until she realized it was another fake.

Interestingly, talking to that voice right before Pyro showed up actually calmed AJ down a little. I've seen some people call that interaction romantic, but I see it as AJ coping. She's running back to the familiarity of taunting and confronting someone, and hopefully having a thing to fight, to hide/bury her fear. Even if that thing might be a god or spirit or something. We see her do the same thing of confronting the shades so aggresively later, even once she's been told that diplomacy is what works with them. Except for when it's that shadow figure again, where she turns tail and runs.

I don't think I need to say anything about the Driftsey interactions from today, 10/10.

Circling back to a few things from before arriving at the crypt, AJ giving all of her food (even if it was one pathetic bowl of soup) to Drift is also a cool moment. I'm unsure of whether I think AJ starves herself due to scarcity mentality or self destruction (it's probably both), but either way someone who grew up unsure of her next meal and fighting for every scrap voluntarily giving up food is so significant. She cares so much about Drift.

Annnd then Drift doesn't notice that AJ is starving so much she can't run. Again. This idiot/affectionate

Despite struggling to keep up, and trying to hide that she's struggling, AJ also puts away the wolf to avoid scaring Graecie. Tinkerbell duo my beloved.

TLDR: I hate AimseyTV for doing this, screw you. But, this was a fire stream, absolutely consumed my brain, can't wait for tomorrow. I don't think AJ is dead by the way.

Then we're in a scenario where the secrets been forcfully revealed with nothing redeeming about it.
