We re-open our doors for toxic people and call it seeking closure.

I think part of the reason why we hold so tight is because we fear something so great won’t happen twice

Sleep is only when I stop. I stop hating myself for my mistakes. I stop thinking of the words I would say. I stop the negative thoughts in my head. I stop daydreaming of me and you. I stop. Because sometimes thinking too much, hurts me even more. So I sleep away the pain, wishing for a better day.

And [I am] trying to convince my shadow that I’m someone worth following.

See… the negative side of always seeing the “good” in people, is that you are unfortunately opening yourself up to a lot of hurt from someone who would take advantage of your kindness and mistake it for low self esteem. Because when you settle to only seeing the good in people and find yourself making excuses for their behaviour and accepting ill treatment.. you’re neglecting your value. Place your judgements on their actions, and their actions only.

REPEAT AFTER ME: ‘My current situation is not my final destination’

Epiphany: Stop waiting for something that isn’t going to happen, open your eyes and accept it for what it is and leave, because it isn’t making you happy and possibly never will.
