This is the cover I made for my Legend of Zelda fanfiction that I'm currently working on. Done with watercolors.

Do you have any advice on how to get a bigger audience? Whilst i don't care about being 'famous' or such, id really like to grow my following for the purpose of more people knowing about my art
Fan arts. Just draw fan arts. Regularly is the best. (~//~) (Sorry.bad timing. i feel terrible tonight so it s an awfully short answer.)
A while ago, I saw this video about an artist who used their child's scribbles to create paintings. Granted, they created landscapes; I used that idea for the post it notes above.
Okay so I followed this video about foreshortening andâŚ
Sycra. I love you so much for making this video.

Also, this shit happened because I wanted to try hair with watercolor. It doesn't look bad... but I'm starting to regret the choice of who I decided to try hair for...
So ever since I saw a video about this specific design, I wanted to try it. So I did this, and I suck, but I also really like it. If anyone could tell me who the original artist was (the person who even put up a video about it), I would be glad to mention/put a link to their art.

hey! I'm not sure if this is possible (if it isn't, totally disregard this) but is there anywhere i can connect with someone to give me feedback on my work? I'm at kind of a standstill and a second opinion would really be great. Thanks!
Thereâs one website that I use called Scribophile. Itâs a website that allows you to post your writing, but in return you must critic someone elseâs writing to get karma points. Itâs totally worth it though since itâs filled with a community of writers, editors, playwrights, etc. Everyone is so kind there as well.
Check it out, I think itâll definitely help you!
So... this has come up again. My first dragon doesn't look nearly as good as this not even half-done dragon. I'm excited to see what the outcome of the rest of this will be... i really have to figure out wing placement... if anyone out there sees this before I'm finished and knows how to draw dragons well, I will certainly take suggestions.

I was told to shade rather than color, so I did and this is the outcome. Pretty cool, eh?
Two pics of a drawing I'm working on. I'm wondering whether I should color it or continue shading...
Growth Statement for Drawing 2
During this semester of constant drawing assignments, I was able to compare my drawings/projects as time passed. Personally, I believe that my drawing skills have gotten exponentially better. I was able to learn more about art and how even simplicity makes a beautiful picture, and I learned about my weakness in value and thought about how I could make it better. I also learned how experimentation can help tremendously, and how âgoing with the flowâ of your mind helps to create an interesting composition (especially with color).
Drawing Takumi Usui (Sketchbook assignment #4) helped me to understand the simplicity of pictures that are considered âhigh qualityâ (of sorts). Compared to other assignments, I used only a few colors to create the entire picture, which surprised me. I honestly thought I would have to blend some colors to get the right... look to it. Not only was it the colors, but just the shape of his features surprised me. His ears and eyes were slightly off, and I realized that it made him that much more of an awesome character. Whatâs a character without some flaws? Despite the strangeness of it all, I was able to see how those two things came together to make a drawing that looked like official artwork from the original artist.
Although I still donât have the right mindset to create good dark values, at least I know that I have difficulty with it. The representational drawing of the interacting wooden figure helped me to understand that I needed to work more on this. It was the drawing and collage project that helped me understand that it was with all types of value techniques, not just pressure-only. I hope I can fix this problem, and I believe if I continue to draw in the representational style, perhaps it will help me in adding value to other, non-representational art projects.
Every one of my assignments has helped me to experiment with different media, but two projects, in particular, are the most obvious in this. With the quote illustration (sketchbook assignment #5), I got to see how colored pencil, oil pastel, and Blick markers worked together to create odd visual effects. With the hallway project, I experimented with the oil pastels, soft pastels, paint, and charcoal to see how those created an interesting composition, especially when using the oil pastel to define the dried paint lines (from the paint that I used to create roses with). With experimentation, Iâm able to see what looks good to me with something else, or compared to the entire picture, and if it doesnât look good, thereâs usually always a way to erase it.Â
Letting intuition work the hand has seemed to work the best in nearly all cases with art. I learned this with the animal pattern project; despite not having come up with a sketch for this project, I let my instincts guide me in making the patterns. I know that I shouldâve done a sketch for the project, but I couldnât seem to think of the right patterns that would fit with the animal that I was working with and I was running out of time to come up with something. In any case, I was glad I was able to trust my instincts on this project and was able to produce something that looked good. I also really focused on this while working on the hallway project, and was able to see the difference between just day one and day two. The first day I was really thinking about where to put each shape, and it really just didnât look very good by the end of that day. It probably wouldâve looked better, had I have just let my intuition work. I learned that as soon as the second day ended since it was then I just let my mind wander and my hand work (which also ended up being therapeutic).Â
Overall, I definitely believe that I have met my semester goal, which was to have a better understanding and appreciation for art. I understand that complexity isnât everything, that value is harder to do than it looks, experimenting can get me places, and that relying on instincts can help to create something wonderful.
Finished Drawing and Collage project (Triptych)
This was a thoughtful project for me. I thought about why I liked the background and came up with the idea that itâs kind of like a fuzzy background for a dream, like the undefined shapes that are sometimes in the peripheral vision. Then I made it in the dogâs point of view and used colors that only a dog could perceive in the background.Â
I wish I had actually read through all of the directions the as soon as I started the sketches. Then I couldâve planned out my values better, and it wouldnât have looked so messy in the final product.
I really did enjoy this project. It wasnât too difficult, and I liked that there was a representational object that had to be placed in the front of the cut out shapes. It was different and a bit of a settle down from the other projects that took a long time to finish.
Sketch for Drawing and Collage project (Triptych)
These are just some rough sketches of what I wanted my project to maybe look like, with few measurements for my layered rectangles. I ended up making one more sketch than the actual required amount, but thatâs okay. I needed it, since some of the other combos looked pretty nice, but there was nothing that interested me more than the background of the first sketch that I did. I just traded dog positions.

Powdered Graphite Self-portrait
This wasnât my best work. I liked figuring out how to do the inverted shading (not sure if thatâs what itâs called, but thatâs what Iâm calling it) and the small details that were really difficult to do. I definitely messed up on the face a lot, and by the third time I was ready to give up and leave myself looking like a zombie (I totally should have taken a picture then! It wouldâve looked awesome!). But obviously I kept at it and tried as best as I could to stay proportional.
EDIT: Although it was a tough project, and some of the proportions are a bit off, this apparently was the most successful project of them all. It won first place in 2d art and teacherâs choice in my schoolâs art show. The other two were barely looked at, even though I had gotten a money offer for one of them.
Photo âsketchâ for my Powdered Graphite Self-Portrait
I had no idea what I wanted for this. I was told to have one hand in the photo, and I had to come up with a pose quickly so I wouldnât hold up anyone else from taking their picture. So the first thing to pop into my head was a kind of model pose: downturned head, one shoulder back, hand in the hair, and a serious look on the face.
