So I meant to "quickly" write a review of the "best" Pals in Palworld before moving on to a bunch of other work, and instead I wound up writing this single article for something like 11 hours. It is my most objective, most good-faith review possible of Palworld as a phenomenon, the best POTENTIAL it could aim towards and the Pal designs I find the most interesting to actually good thus far, setting aside its image as a Pokemon knockoff for 4chan gooners or whether it might have used AI, with a lot of side tangents about Nintendo, the monster genre as a whole and maybe I don't even remember what else??? But yeah as a matter of fact there are some fairly decent Pals.

It's messy and imperfect and stiff but I finally made cover art for my tabletop RPG setting that communicates visually what the setting is really about while showing off a wide selection of the monsters. I'll probably use it just the physical prints of the shorter and more affordable "player's guide." (It's also based loosely on the Digimon Intro)
