How did Drift get taken and Wheeljack get so injured, you ask? Looks like someone had a bounty on their head....

Someone had mentioned on one of my other tfp Drift pieces that they headcanoned Drift as Wheeljack's sword teacher. I imagined something like that but more along the lines of Drift helping him improve and they spar sometimes.

They just being cute before I figure out how to angst them up lol

I have been horribly sick for the past week. I'm finally on the upswing so I found some energy to finish this next installment of tfp dratchet.

Idk how to describe it but for me. They both fall into "dry humor" and pessism but different flavours and it blends well together :D

Hello fellow Dead End Perceptor enjoyer! And I totally get what you mean by different flavors of dry humor. Perceptor def has the over-explainer side and Dead End is the one-word wonder.

Perceptor feeling like a bit of an outcast because even though he is excited about his discoveries, he can’t match the energy of someone like Wheeljack in his speech and mannerisms so everyone mistakes him as cold and unfeeling

And then Dead End feeling like people blame him for being overly pessimistic when in reality he WANTS to believe that good things will happen, but can’t bring himself to ignore all of the possibilities of what could go wrong. Everyone else in his life seems to just charge into things without considering the consequences so he feels like it’s his responsibility to remind others that bad things COULD happen and that they need to be careful

And just something about the two interacting for the first time just clicks. Perceptor doesn’t have to try and fake the energy in his voice for dead end to recognize his enthusiasm for a topic. And Dead End doesn’t feel like his observations and concerns are belittled or remained when he’s with Perceptor because Perceptor understand that what Dead End says comes from a place of compassion and not defeatism
