Mere minutes after birth, a two-headed plesiosaur calf passes away. The mother stays with it, drifting alongside the dead calf and away from her pod without eating. Occasionally she dives to retrieve the body when it sinks, before eventually leaving it behind and rejoining her pod.
Inspired by the story of Tahlequah the orca, who in 2018 remained with her dead newborn for 17 days.

Not the most knowledgeable about dinosaurs, but really love your art. Do you ever draw stegosaurs? They’re my favorite and I loved the type of art you drew the deceased triceratops in. I would love to see a drawing of a stegosaurus in that style

Nyctosaurus, a same-sex couple, lingering on top of a floating corpse. Very romantic.
Juvenile fork-tailed waterwitch (Quetzalcoatlus lawsoni) forage among young greater waterwitch (Q. northropi) under the watchful eyes of the adult greaters. In this sheltered stream, both species coexist for the first few months of their lives before the forktails move downriver.

I tackled many elements in this painting that I wasn't very comfortable with painting, so I think i did a really good job with the lighting, houses, snow and fur textures!
Thank you to everybody who've supported me and my art despite me not making a lot of em this year. I think I'm starting to find the kind of style I really want to make and I look forward to exploring and expanding in 2025

Mangrove crabs are by no means rare in Florida and I've photographed them before, but it's just pleasing to see mangrove crab snacking on actual mangrove. There's not much mangrove up in North Florida so it's a treat. 🤎
