What should be a time for the people in Palestine to spend joyfully with their families is still a nightmare. Resources like food, water, and medicine are still scarce and bombs are still falling on children in tents.
If you have the means, please consider donating to my friend Hamza during his and his familyâs time of need. They have had such a rough go of life, and could use the help, especially during the holiday. If you canât donate please consider reblogging â everything is helpful!!

Hey y'all -- I'm making this post on behalf of Sami and his family, who are still suffering in Gaza. You can find their fundraiser here. Itâs atrocious that people have to continue to live in such awful conditions, and if we are able to help them I think we should â even if itâs small! If you can, please consider donating or reblogging his fundraiser.
Samiâs family is large and has many young children who deserve a better life. I desperately hope that the Rafah crossing will be open soon and theyâll be able to leave and find a better life â but they need the funds to do so.
My friend Amal (@amal-ashour-now2) messaged me this picture and story:
Today, bullets pierced our tent⌠the children were playing inside when it happened.
We are a displaced family, living in a fragile tent with barely enough to survive. This morning, gunfire struck our shelter.
By a miracle, no one was physically harmed, but the emotional trauma is unbearable.
My children picked up the bullets from the ground... and asked me, âMom, are we going to die too?â
I took these photos just minutes later, not to shock you, but to show you the heartbreaking reality weâre living.
Amal is a pregnant mother, whoâs currently displaced in Gaza. Previously, she used to run a campaign to support her familyâs basic needs until GFM shut it down. For that, her and her sister launched a Chuffed campaign to ensure that donations reach both families safely and reliably. The funds from this campaign aim to:
- Help the families evacuate from Gaza
- Find a safe place to live
- Provide food and medical care for the kids
- Help them heal from this terrifying experience
Please support Amalâs family by donating and sharing. Help this fundraiser gain traction as it barely raised ~$100 so far.
Hello friends, I'm Sahar! Lia & I are friends of the Ashours & Shehabs, and we'll be helping them run this campaign. Both families have had
The bombing is intense, and towers and buildings are being completely destroyed. All we have left is your help and donations. We may have to flee again these days, as the occupation is bombing us violently. Help us and donate during this time. Help us and donate, please.
Guys, my sister Shehab @danashehab family and I are facing imminent and brutal danger from the Zionist occupation's warplanes. They are intensively bombing all the buildings, as everyone saw yesterday, including the Al-Sousi Tower and the Mashtaha Tower. Now they are threatening to demolish the tower next to our tent, and we don't have the money to move. Donate, participate, and help us, we desperately need you.đđź
As we step into a new year, I wish every one of you a year filled with hope, love, peace, and fulfilled dreams.
From my heart, Happy New Year to all of you who have stood with me and my family through everything we have lived.
Over the past two years, you have been our family, the people who stood by us during the war, bombing, destruction, displacement, hunger, sickness, fear, and uncertainty. You were there when everything around us was collapsing, and your humanity surrounded us like warmth in the coldest moments of our lives.
I also know that you have patiently endured my frequent posts and tags, and have repeatedly shared my posts and encouraged your followers to donate and help my family over these two years. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we had no other path except to keep reaching out to you. Please accept my apologies and those of my entire family.
These were two years of explosions and gunfire, of constant bombing and death following us wherever we went. Two years in which we saw houses collapse on their owners, bodies pulled from under the rubble, and streets turned into ruins. We lost friends, neighbors, and relatives, and parted with loved ones we could not even say goodbye to. It was grief that left no time to breathe, a wound that reopened every single day.
Life after death became even harsher. Tents under burning sun, freezing cold, and rain soaking our beds. Nights of hunger and sickness. Empty markets and unbearable prices. Medicines we could not find. A life without stability, work, or income, while my fatherâs illness weighed heavier on us.
And yet, despite everything, you never left us alone. Some of you supported us financially, some kept sharing my campaign again and again, and some sent messages just to say: "We are thinking of you. Stay strong." Every message, every repost, every donation carried a piece of hope that helped us continue.
You were not just followers. You were family. People who chose compassion over indifference, love over silence, and humanity despite the distance. Your kindness eased the weight of every harsh stage we went through, and we carry your names in our prayers every single day.
As our struggle continues, I kindly ask you to please continue supporting my family, we are still in urgent need of your humanity, solidarity, and kindness.
Thank you for standing with us, for believing in us, and for being the light that reached us through the darkness. I pray that Gaza finally finds peace, that the war ends completely, that reconstruction begins, that medicine, food, and materials enter freely, and that life returns to what it was before the war.
From my family to yours: Happy New Year, and may the world become kinder than the years we have lived through. â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸

Israel is building 48 military sites throughout the Gaza Strip, reducing the area of the Gaza Strip to less than half its current size, and Israeli government officials are planning to build a settlement in the northern Gaza Strip.
Since the so-called ceasefire, Israel has established more than 48 military sites in Gaza City on the homes of displaced civilians. Israel has not stopped the war; rather, it kills and commits massacres every day, and every day it advances the yellow line it drew, thereby occupying more than half of the Gaza Strip.
For two years the war hasn't stopped. When a ceasefire was supposedly reachedâa shamâthousands of people died, and they continue to die daily. The crossings remain closed, and the goods, supplies, and aid that are allowed in are sold at exorbitant prices. Israel hasn't stopped the war. We are still suffering. Please help us. Please donate to us. Please.
things in gaza are still just as bad as ever! ive been in contact with nader and every day for him and his family is terrifying. he really needs anything we can give, no matter how small. please genuinely consider throwing just a few bucks you wont miss his way!
Over the past six days, kind and quiet people responded. Their support was enough for us to make a serious decision: to leave the tent and begin searching for a place to rent â even if itâs unfinished.
Winter rain has been seeping into the tent. The ground is cold and wet. Amir became sick from the cold â coughing through the nights, exhausted. Living on soaked soil is not something small children can endure.
As a lot of us get ready to spend time with our families and friends this winter season, please donât forget those in Gaza currently suffering the violence, cold weather, and hunger there. At the end of the day, we are all neighbors in this world, and should work to support and care for another.
Iâm making this post on the behalf of my friends Sami and Hamza, who are currently fundraising to keep their family fed and housed, as well as to have enough money to leave Gaza once the opportunity arises. Please, if you can, donate or reblog to help them out this year.
Signal boosting! In lieu of gifts this holiday season, my partner and I will be donating to charities important to us, if you feel so inclined, it would be awesome to support families like this one (Sami & Hamza) and/or any of the other families in Gaza who are in need of aid (there are some accounts vetting these as well you can check as needed!)
"It is clear that after everything we have endured, we â like other displaced Palestinians â cannot survive a third winter in these harsh conditions. We survived two winters in displacement, living in tents that protected neither from cold nor rain, waiting with exhausted patience for a ceasefire that would end our suffering. The ceasefire finally came, but relief did not. We remain in the same place, with bodies drained by malnutrition and illness, under tents worn out by the sun and wind."
- Eman Abu Zayed, "We now see the ugly face of Gazaâs ânew normalâ" 14 Dec 2025.
What is the reality facing Gazans this winter during the ceasefire?
Israel has breached the terms of the ceasefire hundreds of times, killing nearly 400 people.
Israel has continued to block the delivery of aid. The Gaza Government Media Office recorded that no more than 234 trucks per day have entered Gaza since the ceasefire began.
Storm Byron hit Gaza. Strong winds destroyed over 27,000 tents and 11 people were killed by collapsed buildings.
People cannot stay warm without shelter or sources of heat. The first deaths from hypothermia were of a nine year old child, Hadeel al-Masri, and two little babies, Rahaf Abu Jazar and Taim al-Khawaja.
Please help my friend Fadel in Gaza. His family is trying to survive prolonged illness and repeated flooding while living out of a tent.

Campaign vetted by @gazavetters list (#197) and @90-ghost.
Today Fadel (@fadel-dani) told me that he was forced to spend money he had saved for his urgent surgery on a used tent. His family could not afford a new one, but their previous tent was torn apart so they needed to buy what they could afford.
They have been sick with the flu for weeks now, unable to get enough donations to afford adequate shelter, medicine, or food.
Please donate as soon as you can. They cannot endure these brutal conditions for much longer. Fadel is disabled and needs monthly medication, and he has also sustained extremely painful injuries, with shrapnel from the bombing of his home splintering his body.
Offer any relief you can, as soon as you can. Please.
I spent my savings on medication and surgery to buy a new tent to replace our old one, which was torn apart by heavy rain and strong winds. The old tent constantly leaked, soaking all the blankets and mattresses. My family and I are still suffering from illness. Therefore, I asking for your help so we can buy our medication and have my surgery as soon as possible. We are in a very difficult situation and need your support. Please donate.
Fadel has been trying so hard for hundreds of days to raise funds for his surgery. During this time, his family has been repeatedly starved, displaced, and frozen in terror with the sounds of Israeli gunfire.
At time of writing, he's only âŹ6,826 raised. Only 14% of his goal. This money disappears quickly with expenses just to keep his family alive another week. The cost of basic supplies, of food and clean water, add up quickly.
But this whole time he is suffering in pain. I worry for his family. prolonged illness in this winter weather, especially while malnourished, is extremely dangerous.
The repeated setbacks are very discouraging to Fadel and he really needs our help. Even one of these circumstances would be enough to make me lose my mind!!! We can alleviate a little of his burden by sharing & donating what we can

The latest storm hit Gaza with devastating force. Freezing rain tore through the tents, flooding the places where families sleep and leaving children on cold, muddy ground. The collapsed sewage system mixed rainwater with wastewater, spreading sickness and choking smells through the camps.
My family is among those struggling to hold on.
Without donations, it means no food, no medicine, no clean water, and no protection from this brutal cold.
If you can help, even the cost of a single cup of tea, it could mean warmth, food, or medicine for my family.
Please donate and reblog đđ

while i have you here iâd like to tell you about my friend from palestine @amal-ashour-new. her family and sisterâs family are in a horrible situation and need our support desperately. she is due to give birth soon, her husband has been shot in the leg, they have no tent, theyâre being kicked out of the hospital, and donations are slow. they need to collect donations to help with her husbandâs medical treatment, and to buy a tent, winter blankets, and winter clothes. anything you can do helps. donate here, and please share if you canât donate.
For everyone who is watching or knows what is happening in Gaza
I am Amal and I live in Gaza, and I can tell you that the situation is very tragic, much worse than you can imagine.
When the doctor tells me my husband needs new medication, I know I'll face many difficulties, the first being the cost of the treatment.
This treatment might cost the same as a cup of coffee for someone outside Gaza, but here I can't afford it because I'm unemployed and we have no money.
Therefore, I decided to create this fundraising campaign to help me.
I hope that everyone who sees this blog will donate, even if it's just the price of a cup of coffee.
I am still pleading with every person who has a heart and compassion to feel our pain and help us continue my motherâs treatment.
Time is passing and no one is taking action.
Please, do something. Just think for a momentâwhat would you do if it were your mother?

đ I am a mother from Gaza, living with my children in a tent that cannot protect us from the cold winter⌠and my husband is sick and struggles to move.
Every night, I listen to my children shiver under thin blankets, and I hold them close, trying to give them some warmth⌠but the cold is stronger than all of us.
Since we lost our home, this worn-out tent is all we have.
The wind strikes it every night as if trying to tear away what little is left of our lives.
My husband grows weaker day by day, and I have nothing but a heart that breaks for all of them.
We desperately need helpâblankets, food, a better tent⌠anything that can protect my children from this merciless winter.
Your kindness could be the reason they sleep tonight feeling warm and safe.
Please⌠donât leave us alone in this cold. đ¤âď¸

Something I've gathered, is that almost everyone seems to think they only have a "necessary" number of shoes; however, everyone has a DRASTICALLY different idea of what that is.
For purposes of this post, I'm defining "shoe" as "footwear you'd wear outside the house", and "actually used" as "something you've worn within the past month, and/or that you expect to wear again within a year".
Reblog with how many pairs of shoes you have that are actually used, and what they are.
For me, it's a pair of steel-toed shoes that are what I normally wear when I have to wear shoes; sandals; running shoes; and winter boots. So, four pairs. (Plus there's the old worn-out stuff that I just keep in the closet because I'm allergic to throwing things away if it's still vaguely functional, but that's why I specified "actually used".)
the co-founder of 'crips for esims for gaza' and disability advocate, alice wong, has died according to her twitter account.
alice's disability advocacy naturally led her to palestine solidarity as the quote from the blog post announcing 'crips for esims' illustrates:
We also recognize that everyone in Gaza is now disabled due to the massive number of deaths, new disabilities, life-threatening illnesses and destruction of medical facilities going on. Such destruction also debilitates the land, water, and air, which will impact Palestinians and all surrounding life for generations to come. We owe our kin in Palestine to throw sand on the gears of genocide with our every breath. [source: the disability visibility project]
since december 2023, crips for esims for gaza has raised well over $3.1M and bought and maintained over 5,000 esims, undoubtedly saving lives.
in the past few days there has been intense winter flooding in gaza. donate to honor alice wong's memoryâto keep people connected, to give disabled people the tools to advocate for themselves, to refuse to let palestine be silenced.
Crips for eSims for Gaza is a collaboration between Jane Shi, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Alice Wong.Â
