when clarke steps foot into the small shop, its floral scent washing over her, she has absolutely no idea where to start. harper’s birthday is in two hours, and clarke can’t remember if daisies or hydrangeas are her favorite flowers, and honestly she’s not even sure what hydrangeas look like. usually she’ll just order a mixed bouquet and get them mailed to whoever she buys them for, but when she’d caught sight of the store front, with its cheery tulips in the window boxes, well, she’d felt the need to backtrack and duck inside. now she wonders if that was a mistake.

                  bottom  lip  bitten  between  teeth,   and  glasses  slipping  down  his  nose  slowly  but  surely,   bellamy’s  working  on  one  of  his  prom  orders  when  the  bell  above  the  door  twinkles,   the  tell-tale  signal  of  a  customer  entering  the  shop.    he  finishes  snipping  thorns  from  rose  stems,   carefully  setting  them  where  they  won’t  be  a  danger  until  he  can  put  them  away,   and  then  he’s  pushing  his  glasses  up  with  a  single  finger  as  he  tilts  his  head  up  to  see  whose  just  entered  aurora’s,   the  small  but  bright  flower  shop  tucked  in  the  middle  of  downtown  with  light  colored  walls  and  storefront  with  floral  inspired  doodles  on  the  windows   —   his  sister’s  doing,  not  his,  but  people  seem  to  enjoy  them.
