I am a prime example of the suffering we endure here in Gaza. I have been injured for over 550 days and have yet to undergo surgery to remove the metal fragments embedded in my body, and worse than that We live in a tattered tent that offers no protection from the rain or the bitter cold.

Please stop what you're doing now. Stop eating, we're hungry. Stop having fun, we're sad. Stop watching the matches, we've lost our schools. We're only asking to leave the Gaza Strip and live our lives in safety and peace, without killing, hunger, and destruction.

We hope to leave here for a safe country as soon as possible so that I can have my surgery and live in peace.
