There’s a figure there, something he can’t quite make out. The more he tries to get closer, the farther the figure seems to get from him.
He tries running, calling out to whoever it is, but to no avail he can’t quite reach them. Is he dreaming? He must be, there’s no other explanation, but why is it that he feels strange? Why is there a voice in his head telling him to keep trying?
After what seems like hours of trying, Siwoo is finally getting closer. He’s stopped though when he feels a pair of hands on his shoulders, glancing down towards his right shoulder and becomes frightened by what he sees. The hand isn’t human. No, it’s the hand of a monster. The long nails from the pair of hands begin to dig into his shoulders, deeper and deeper until they’ve pierced his skin, drawing blood from each new small wound.
He cries out in pain as he tries to fight the pair of hands off of him. The failed attempt is one he knows is getting him nowhere and he only grows quiet when he hears it speak, whispering in his ear. The hot breath from the creature becoming warm on the shell of his ear as he stands there frozen in fear. “You’re the reason she’s dead. YOU killed her.” The voice is deep, raspy, enough to even send chills up his spine.
What was it talking about? WHO was it talking about?
Then it happens. There’s a light, however the light only shines above the figure in which he had been trying to reach this entire time. It’s only then that he is able to finally understand what the monster was speaking of.
His eyes widen in shock, horror even, as he sees the young female lying on the ground. The pool of blood surrounding her body. It’s THEN that he also notices how he is no longer standing but rather kneeling next to the body. His hands are covered in blood, her blood. Her face is covered with her own hair, making it impossible for Siwoo to really see who it is, but something makes him move.
Hands shaking, body trembling as the fear courses through his body, he slowly reaches towards the female lying there. His brain is yelling at him, telling him that he knows exactly who this is, he can recognize the clothes all too well. No, he won’t accept this. This can’t be her.
Siwoo carefully moves the hair from her face, tears streaming down his face as he hears the sounds of his own heartbeat within his chest. It’s only once he finally gets a full view of her features that it’s confirmed.
Miyoung.
How was this possible? How was his sister lying there DEAD in front of him?!
Had he killed her? No, that was impossible. He would never do such a thing because he loved her. He reaches for her, grabbing her and pulling her into his arms as his cries of grief sound throughout the darkness that surrounds them. This can’t be real. She CAN’T be dead!
Then it happens. The darkness consumes him, the weight of her body seeming to disappear until he’s holding nothing. Then, without warning, he’s standing in front of a mirror but the reflection that greets him isn’t his own. No, it’s a monster. It’s grinning back at him, laughing hysterically. “YOU killed her. You’re the reason she’s no longer alive. Her precious life was all your fault. You should have protected her but instead you brutally murdered her.”
It continues to speak, continues to mock him, making him believe that this is real. That he had in fact killed her.
“No! No, no, no.. NO!” Siwoo cries out, holding onto his head as he falls to his knees and listens to the laughter of the monster in the mirror. He won’t accept this. He wouldn’t do such a thing and he knows this, so why is it that it all feels so real? Why can’t he just wake up from this dream?
“I would never..kill her.”
His tone is just above a whisper and he eventually dares to glance back up, looking into the mirror in front of him. What he sees causes only more panic within him. It’s him in the reflection, his eyes black. He was the monster. How was this possible? No, this couldn’t be true. He won’t accept that he had turned into such a creature, that he had murdered his own sister like that. Never.
The darkness consumes him once more, the laughter from the creature in the mirror slowly fading more and more until he can no longer hear it.
Siwoo awakens in a cold sweat, body jerking upwards into a sitting position as he frantically looks around the room, calling out for Miyoung. His breathing is heavy, his heartrate racing as he tries his best to gather his own surroundings. He’s in his own bed. He tries to swallow down the lump in his throat before he’s soon on his feet and wasting no more time rushing out of his own room.
He runs. Runs right to her room. He has to confirm that she’s alright, that it was all nothing more than just a NIGHTMARE which he had just experienced. It’s only when he confirms that she’s safe in which he’ll be able to finally calm down.
Siwoo reaches her room, fist banging on the door over and over again, not letting up until he feels the door give away and is greeted by that familiar face which he cared for more than anything in this shitty world. Miyoung. It doesn’t take him long to quickly pull his sister into his embrace, ignoring how he had just cut her off when she was getting ready to complain about why he was waking her up in the dead of night.
He holds her like that, not letting up even with her complaints of him being “annoying” or “bothersome”. Siwoo doesn’t let go until he’s calm, his heart beating at it’s normal pace, his tears have finally stopped. “What is wrong with you? Do you even know what time it is?!” Her voiced complaints only make him smile.

Mark moved at the same time Minjun did and locked an arm around his squad mate’s neck. “Everything is okay, just kill the monster first!” These words were for the pyro boy.
How unfortunate, guess they couldn’t have a nice straight forward mission after all. The hint of gladness he felt earlier, all gone, replaced by frustration, concern and fear. “Minjun, it’s okay,” he said, pulling his straining squad mate closer, Minjun’s back against his chest. The other was struggling against him, quite violently too. “It’s Mark,” he said, a hint of nervousness in his usual calm voice. The thrashing, unfortunately, did not reduce in intensity.
The other soldiers, noticing the commotion, moved closer. Oh my god, someone whispered. Is this a turning? An actual turning?
As cadets, most of them had not witnessed turning. Mark himself had only learned it on paper as well, which was why he felt hesitation, even as he felt warm liquid running down his Minjun restraining arm. It could be from his eye wound, the gentler side of him insisted. But this much blood? Last time I checked, a cut like that wouldn’t make blood flow down like two rivers. The logical side followed, urging him to move.
Mark felt for his dagger with his free hand, fingers trembling.
“Has…has his blood turned black?” He asked the crowd. “Someone answer me.” They hesitated, and he waited. Someone has to be willing to speak…someone must share the burden of this murder with him.
It had only been a few weeks since he had arrived, a few weeks in which he and his sister had begun their training when it came to killing monsters. The very monsters which had brutally murdered their parents.
There was no doubt in Siwoo’s mind that the reasoning behind him even stepping in front of the monster that threatened to attack one of their own was due to him remembering that experience as he had witnessed his parents being attacked. He didn’t want to see anyone else being killed because of these beasts and his adrenaline had kicked in at that moment, causing him to step in between the monster and Minjun without giving it a second thought.
Nothing could have really prepared him for this. Just help him. Take care of him and make sure he doesn’t end up like them.
Now, as he stares down at the monster, his chest and shoulders rising and falling as he breaths heavily and tries to calm his own heartrate, he fully realizes what he had just done. The slightest hint of fear begins to replace his previous emotions, the adrenaline slowly disappearing as he’s consumed by his own thoughts.
Mark’s voice is the only thing that really brings him back to reality, blinking a couple of times before he turns his attention to his fellow teammate and giving the slightest smile to show that he acknowledges the compliment he had just received.
Siwoo had been instructed by the other to burn this monster a few more times, for reassurance that it was truly dead before they chanced getting any closer to it, risking another life in the process.
He’s about to do just that when he suddenly hears Mark from behind him, allowing his own curiosity to get the best of him and chance glancing over at the other and Minjun. Worry fills him as he watches the scene take place, eyebrows furrowing together as he stares in slight horror at what’s even happening.
Finally, he’s brought back once again by the command that Mark yells out to him, forcing Siwoo to return his attention back to the monster lying on the ground in front of him. He calms his breathing, in... out... in... out, knowing very well that he needs to keep his undivided attention on the task at hand. We can worry about Minjun after.
Siwoo lifts his hand, eyes focused on the beast, snapping his fingers to help ignite the flame. He watches as he sets the monster on fire, once... twice... a few more times just for safe measure, then as he’s sure he’s manage to do what he was instructed to do, he’s slowly making his way over towards the small crowd that had managed to gather around the two male’s and watch the situation at hand unfold.
He pushes through the others, stopping once he spots the blood and sees how it had already turned black. Siwoo knows what this means, they had learned it and knew all too well what happened once this happened. Minjun would have to be killed.
A part of him wants to lie to Mark, to tell him that it’s not black blood. That there’s still a chance for Minjun to make it. He knows this is wrong though, he’s not dumb. Siwoo knows that there’s no chance of the man making it but he wishes that there was.
He knows what Minjun’s fate is at this point but still, he speaks without caring about being yelled at later. “It....has. But we can still try and save him!” He steps closer, though not too close. “Mark, no one has ever taken the time to even try to save someone from turning, but there could be a way if we just try.... We can take him back, see if they can’t....experiment on him and find some sort of cure..” Despite his tone having the slightest hint of hope laced within it, he knows this is impossible but he still allows himself to speak these words into existence.
Hi there everyone. I’m Rosa and this is my boy Lee Siwoo, a Gen 5 and rank A fire boy who is arrogant and isn’t ashamed of it. He joined Umbrella back when he was only 19 years old along with his sister (NPC) who was 16 years old at the time. The two of them witnessed the death of their parents, meaning that Siwoo had to step up as the older brother and take care of Miyoung, which he didn’t mind at all since the two are really close and share that brother/sister bond (I mean they’ve literally been through EVERYTHING together at this point so it’s no surprised that the two siblings are close). Siwoo will do anything he can to take care of his sister, actually she’s the only person in this shitty world who still gets to see that little smile or hear that bit of a laugh from him, the rest of the people he meets just get greeted with a straight face and the look of not giving two fucks about what they say or do.
Siwoo is on the same squad as Mark, the two being the only original members from their team since the time that Siwoo arrived at Umbrella. They’ve seen everyone else die and still somehow managed to be the remaining two to survive this whole time. Shocker. The two have this sort of weird ass friendship, if you can even call it that, but they’ve been through quite a bit together over the years. This doesn’t mean that Siwoo actually is ‘friendly’ with the other male, in fact Mark’s constant dad jokes along with other things makes Siwoo just want to avoid the man altogether. Funny right? Yeah, we think so as well. It’s just best to follow along with their interactions if you REALLY wanna see what type of ‘friendship’ the two share.
Because Siwoo has pyrokinesis, his body is a lot warmer than most humans and if anyone comments on this fact he will just tell them “I’m always hot.” (which isn’t a lie). He’s skilled with a bow and arrow, which he can use to his advantage when fighting monsters since he can use his superpower to advantage by using fire and all that cool shit. You know?
Anyways, if you’d like to do some sort of plot or thread with this boy, you can mostly find me on twitter which I made just for people here to contact me when needed ig.
