ARE YOU READY FOR A SPECIAL MISSION?
Post dinner on Tuesday, you were summoned into the main board room to go over the details of your next assignment. You were surprised by the number of soldiers crowded in the space - normally, every mission called for a squad of seven at the most.Â
âThis will not be an easy assignment.âÂ
Instead of targeting a specific monster, you are being sent to investigate a remote village. Those from the village worshipped nature spirits and saw technological advancements as negatives things that held human beings back from reaching their fullest potential. In order to keep themselves pure, the villagers withdrew further and further back into the forest which theyâd settled next to and all but cut off their contact with the outside world.Â
Umbrella has reasons to believe this village had been visited by the entity and infected with chaos energy.Â
You are asked to investigate this village, rescue any civilians and eliminate any monsters. Unfortunately, Umbrella cannot provide more information on this situation. You see, there must be a monster that can influence technology in the village, for cars, camera and other man-made products start breaking down once they are close enough to the village. The more advanced a product was, the faster it eroded.Â
By early afternoon Friday, your team arrived on site. Or really, as close to the site as possible before the vehicles you were in broke down. The rest of the journey was complete on foot and it was nearly dusk when you all stepped into the dead silent village. No obvious signs of destruction, but something definitely felt wrong.Â
MISSION - EDITH VILLAGE: THE INVESTIGATION PHASE
Hello and welcome to the first stage of the Edith Village mission. In order to receive one victory point for this phase of the assignment, you must complete the following post requirement:
Write a thread, four posts or more, with another Umbrella soldier investigating the village.Â
Write a solo, 250 words or more, about your characterâs solo investigation experience.
**Special obstacle: Nobody is able to fall asleep for some reasons and all modern technology carried by the characters are eroding at different paces.

NOTE: We are going to be trying the complex battle system with UNIQUE monster encounters, so if you want to keep it simple and donât want calculations, please donât sign up for those.  Â
[NORTH]: In one of the houses to the north of the village, there is an adult female (approximately 30) who is looking for her baby. Her eyes are bloodshot and she does not appear to be particularly sane. Any attempts of communicating with her will only result in her asking for her baby, if youâve seen her baby etc. [0/2]
[NORTH]: Entrance to the eerily silent forest here. Strangely enough, the closer you wander into the forest, the more relaxed you feel. You are unable to fall asleep in the village at all, but in the forest, you feel like you can...[3/3] MARK, SEOL & SIWOO
[SOUTH] Encounter with REGULAR monster. Likely a teenager when it was touched by the entity, this particular monster just want to eat you. It does not appear to have super powers, but does move incredibly fast and is stronger than the average human. You have to kill this one about four or five times before itâll stay down. [SOUTH] In one of the houses to the south, you hear a strange noise coming from the basement. Once you go to the basement and search, you find a little human boy in the closet. He refuses to come out of the closet and insists that you go away. [2/2] AERAN & YOONJAE
[EAST] Encounter with UNIQUE monster Dragonfly. While investigating, you are discovered by a winged monster. Likely a teenager when the entity visited, the Dragonfly has a somewhat humanoid looking torso and a distorted face. Its human arms and legs twisted and turned into semi transparent wings. It will attempt to grab victims by the neck and pull them into the air. Once high enough, it will drop its victim to the ground and eat the smashed remains. The Dragonfly can snatch two people at a time and is very agile when it comes to dodging in the air. [1/3] ARI
[WEST]: Encounter with UNIQUE monster Tiny Beasty. In one of the houses near the lake, you find a small, slow moving monster. Likely a baby when the entity visited, Tiny B has dark purple skin, four large black eyes and sharp claws on its hands and feet. It cannot walk or run, and would crawl towards you. Once directly in front of you, however, it would launch itself towards your face and attempt to bite you. If successful, it will withdraw immediately to a safe corner and wait for you to become paralyzed from its poisonous bite. Once you are paralyzed, Tiny B will drag you off to the other room for consumption. If there are multiple soldiers, Tiny B will not feed until all are paralyzed. If hurt, Tiny B wails like an actual infant. [2/2] BAIREN & JISU
