Information for sale
The information age has done us a huge disservice; it’s taken information that was once shared openly and freely with all, and turned it into a commodity that only those who can afford to pay for it have access to. This system of selling information is neither fair nor equitable, and it perpetuates the lie of scarcity, the quest for money, and the propensity for competition, isolationism, disconnection, and self-centeredness.
Conversely, in a partnership culture, people willingly and gladly share their knowledge and teach their skills to anyone who seeks to learn, knowing that their community is strengthened, enriched, and improved when all who wish to learn are enabled and empowered to learn, and in that process they are also empowered and enabled to contribute to the well being of all.
