I think making character playlists is good for you and connected to analysis skills in a very fun way and low investment way. I know its seen as quite trivial but to me it operates the same way looking at a lot of art builds ur skills passively. Yummy enrichment activity

#its also very helpful to get in a character headspace #especially when the character is... very very different from you #or any other character youve written #totally not related to the playlists i told my players i made recently...#dm behavior

im making dnd playlists, and they only have songs from musicals so far, and one of them in particular is so amazing to me because I could go from your obedient servant from hamilton, to monster from frozen, and somehow it makes perfect sense for the character/situation

I love listening to new music because I always feel so creative and inspired afterwards, both in general with drawing and writing but specifically with dungeons and dragons. the best part is when the inspiration and the idea i have are so far apart you have to really squint to get it

#it is not supposed to be hard but i spent like an hour and a half last night trying to do it over and over and felt like an idiot #it looks mostly okay except for one part #theres also a few weird gaps toward the top so i guess i just have to make my braid tighter there somehow???#none of these are issues literally any of the at least 10 (short) tutorials i watched addressed either so thats great #it okay ill practice it again some other time to try and make it better
