Obsessed with this wild sculptural stationery shop in Tokyo — PLOTTER TOKYO flagship, designed by MET Team Architects. Two clashing concrete volumes, that eye-catching orange entry canopy, and dreamy crumpled washi cloud ceilings inside. Every angular shape and soft leather detail ties back to their leather notebook brand’s “Embrace” concept of tradition + modern design.

This stairwell shot is inside Couvent Sainte-Marie de la Tourette, the iconic Dominican monastery designed by Le Corbusier in Éveux, France. The rough textured white stucco walls, vivid grass-green floors, yellow-trimmed green doors, and simple metal handrail are all signature Le Corbusier details here. He used bold, saturated pops of colour to break up the raw brutalist concrete surfaces, and this layered half-flight stair connects the monk cell corridors across different levels. Natural light drifts through the far window framing tree foliage outside, balancing the stark geometric architecture with soft green outdoor views. It’s such a raw, colourful, quietly spiritual brutalist interior—one of my favourite spots to photograph on a modernist architecture trip through France.

Floor-to-ceiling wood frames views of treetops, while open multi-level spaces blend art, greenery and quiet hillside calm. A modern cabin that feels endlessly bright, unpretentious and uniquely rooted in its sloped landscape.

The Luckhardt House, Berlin’s icon of Neues Bauen.Designed by the Luckhardt brothers & Alfons Anker (1929–1932), this white cubic masterpiece rises amid pine woods. Curved terraces, floor-to-ceiling glass, and unadorned plaster walls embody early modernism’s core ethos: open flow, harmony between concrete architecture and wild nature, pure functional beauty without excess ornament. Every smooth curve, steel frame, and sunlit interior pays homage to Le Corbusier’s Five Points of New Architecture—an enduring manifesto of radical, quiet modernity.

Proposes intermediate housing along the Seine, embedded in the park landscape. Stacked duplex units, slightly rotated on-site to enhance views, orientation, privacy, separate access, and private outdoor areas.

Miyawaki’s design defies conventional residential norms, balancing raw concrete brutality with organic elements and bright hues, resulting in a timeless statement of 1970s Japanese architectural experimentation.
