About Chiron
Chiron isn’t a name I go by regularly, but it’s important to me nonetheless. I chose this name to affirm my species as a centaur, and I also use this name whenever I’m in a scene. Chiron, who is a centaur, and Chiron, who is a well-behaved pony, each exist on their own wavelength, but ultimately make up me as an individual.
That said, what’s Chiron the Pony like?
Chiron is very obedient but distant. Although he never misses a beat with an order, it may take some incentive to get him out of his shell. He works best under gentle yet firm guidance (and a sultry voice, too). He’s a fat, gruff and hard-working suffolk punch mare who loves praise— but don’t let him get too self-indulgent!
He’s still a heavy horse in need of rearing, and while it’s rare for him to go against your word, he can be a little lazy if left to his own devices. Though, the strong hand of a pony mistress may get him to his feet…
I am a top. I don’t mind a few, loving caresses, and I’m also strap-sucking’s biggest defender. Regardless, I don’t bottom for anybody.
In terms of dynamic, I’m a sub-leaning switch. Occasionally, Chiron can show a dominant side (as is his pride, being a horse and all). There’ll be times when he’s in heat and has the urge to mount his caretaker. Sometimes, he might resist orders if he doesn’t feel like working or if he’s more in the mood to breed than work. I’ll start! I consider my ponyself a fjord horse and am typically pretty mild tempered and willing to please. My ponyself, Chiron, is a suffolk punch with hardy but quiet disposition. In a scene, I liken myself to Big MacIntosh: soft-spoken, disciplined but privately wanting to break from the status quo every once in a while. On days where I’m feeling riled up, I purposefully ignore orders or assert myself by tugging away at my reins, just to entertain the idea of flipping the script and claiming dominance over my handler. Even better if my rut is taken care of in the process.
I consider myself a work horse for the most part, though I’m partial to being someone’s pleasure pony as well. I’m still new to the practice, but I’m an eager learner and willing to apply myself where I’m needed. Unless, of course, it’s one of those days where I’m feeling a bit overworked or worked up. Then, I’d say there’ll come a couple of times where breaking is in order. Whether or not it’ll be me depends on the scene (but I’m preferably a sub top, so it’ll usually be me). I also prefer pony mistresses as my handlers above all else. I identify with unicorns and their relationships to maidens in that I only answer to the firm beck and call of a mistress.

I need you to care about payment processors refusing to pay out for adult content because it means sex workers cannot rely on online work when selling sex in-person becomes too much for our bodies or too risky.

This form of "legalized sex work" is known as the Nordic model and is actually not what sex workers want or advocate for! Sex workers push for decriminalization! Let's go over what the differences are!
The Nordic model:
"[aka] The Entrapment Model refers to the theory that criminalizing clients and third parties (e.g., managers) will reduce demand in the sex trade, thereby “freeing” sex workers, who are often seen as victims. This framework has vocal proponents among certain prohibitionist feminists, but its impact has been devastating where it has been implemented. Unambiguous data shows a clear correlation between laws that criminalize clients and an increase in violence against sex workers, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and exploitation within the sex trade. While the Entrapment Model may seem enticing in theory, it’s impossible to create a safe environment for sex workers and their clients when one side of the transaction is criminalized."

What can legalized sex work look like in practice?

excluding areas such as residential zones,
and areas near schools and businesses

These regulations undermine sex workers’ human rights by restricting where sex workers can live and work, violating their privacy and bodily autonomy, and placing extra burdens on them which do not apply to other workers. In this way, legalisation does not treat sex work as a form of work like any other, but as a special form of work that needs to be heavily controlled and monitored

Now as far as the overlap between the number of sex workers and trafficking victims, it's important we know these terms are not interchangeable, and also why someone might be both a victim of human trafficking and choose to be a sex worker.
Definition of a sex worker:
"Sex workers include female, male, trans and gender diverse adults, and young people (over 18 years of age) who receive money or goods in exchange for sexual services, either regularly or occasionally."
Definition of human trafficking:
"Trafficking means the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation."
Sex workers participate in selling of consensual sexual services, while victims of human trafficking are being abused.
This being said, some people who have experienced human trafficking do choose to become sex workers for many reasons, but even if their reason is linked to their past, consensual work does not equal abuse. There is no real way to know the exact number of overlap between these two groups of people, as collecting accurate data on either group is difficult to begin with, not to mention the conflation of the two muddies the waters further.

You can't support sex workers and not the sex industry. Workers' rights include the right of the workers to control their own industry. If you want to destroy that industry, then you don't support them.
Sex workers have voices you can listen to; you don't have to control their lives for them and decide who they are and "save them". They have international and global organizations, some of which cover entire continents (like the European Sex Workers Rights Alliance). They've addressed the discrimination they face at the United Nations. They've got it covered.
Please remember that, off the internet, belief in the Nordic Model and radical feminism are fringe beliefs. Human rights orgs and most sex worker led projects support full decriminalization and a sex worker-led sex industry

It's very clear that sex workers globally want full decriminalization, and are backed by every human rights org I can name, and radfems are still talking about "end demand" and "abolition". What a bunch of "love the sinner, hate the sin" bullshit. The paternalism and manipulation sex workers have to put up with is insane and it makes me sick.

trans men absolutely are in sex work, the majority just present as women for work because it's much harder to make money if you don't. You don't see them because they're forced to detransition for work or you haven't even tried to look for the ones who are presenting masc. They're all over the sex work forums if you know what to look for and how they talk about it.
there is no "trans men aren't pushed into sex work" privilege. It is not a privilege to be forced into it AND have to detransition for it. This isn't a competition
I think a lot of "trans men aren't affected by this" stuff boils down to the trans men in question that ARE affected being deminished to not being men at all or being forced to detransition/pretend to be women
A lot of talk about boymoding and how hard it is but trans men do the exact same thing the other way around and a lot of times specifically because they are forced into sex work

It's one of the only published works on the topic (in fact, I think it might be currently he the sole published work on the topic in English).
As a trans man who has done sex work in vairey of context both while girlmoding and after socially and medically transitioning, I found it to be an excellent collection of raw and honest writing by people whose stories are so often erased.
