pembrooke boasts ten villagers along with myself as island representative. each villager has a unique role on the island, and there are stories surrounding each of them.

pashmina moved to pembrooke looking for adventure, but instead found herself in charge of a ginormous field of pembrooke's native wheat. she discovered a new hobby, baking, and uses all her wheat to make fresh bread and pasta for pembrooke's residents.

bill lives just outside of pembrooke's small shopping street, which is convenient for him to attract customers to his fish market. on weekdays, he does simple river fishing, but on the weekends, he takes his fishing boat out to the vast sea to catch plenty of fish for the week.

cheri owns a small flower field, where she picks and sells flowers of gorgeous yellow and orange hues. she loves setting out a fresh bouquet, and you can be sure that her house always smells like sweet flowers. in her free time, she dabbles in cooking, always trying out new recipes on her boyfriend, jacques.

jacques works part-time at nook's cranny to save up for car parts, as he's in the process of restoring his dream car. he also enjoys music, frequently giving recommendations to his friends or timmy and tommy. once his car is finished, he wants to take cheri on long road trips outside the island.

benedict was recently evicted from his house on the island for months of being behind on bills. not wanting to leave the island he loves, he secured a living space in jacques's shed. he's been doing chores for jacques to earn some extra bells, as well as helping him on his car, and the two have become close friends.

carmen runs a small apiary, tending for the bees that populate pembrooke. she's never short on honey, and often gives it away to others in large jars. in secret, she's always wanted to be an author, so she writes for fun online. she keeps this a secret from everyone except alfonso.

alfonso writes a comic strip that is published in the local newspaper. when he's out of ideas, he sometimes turns to carmen, who always has good suggestions. he eventually found out she's a writer, and he offered to make art of her characters. this has gotten the two of them pretty close.

olivia moved to pembrooke after her grandmother left her her lily farm. olivia was hesitant at first; being from the city, she didn't think she'd like pembrooke. but she made the old farmhouse her own, and now she's liking the island more than she could've imagined.

dobie has lived on pembrooke since the island was founded years ago. he's run a sugarcane farm for decades, watching residents come and go. he's reluctant to make close friends, as he fears none of them will stay like he does. however, he's slowly learning to come out of his shell.

goldie sews clothing for able sisters. at first, it was a hobby for her, and she only worked at able sisters to make ends meet. when mable saw her designs, she insisted they be for sale at the store, and now goldie makes several of their most popular items.
