yesss i was :] don't worry you're not being annoying at all !! i like the alpha kids a LOT, their characters are really good and i love all the arcs i take. they appeal to me less on a whole than the beta kids do, i think just because you can't beat the friendship chemistry that the original four had, but it is very made up for by the fact dirk is one of my favorite characters in media forever hands down. i love him and his utter levels of complete bullshit to a level that is unreasonable. he's one of those characters that sucks really bad and that's why i love him. you know. but as for the rest of them i also like them a lot, jane has always been pretty interesting (and i do actually like her arc in the epilogues even if it is a little absurd). i like roxy more probably though, the way her arc continues from the pre-scrarch timeline is just really well done, and she's just in general a very interesting character. and jake... i feel bad for jake mostly. he's a very interesting type of character, not one i tend to be very interested in most of the time, but i do like him a lot. in general to me the alpha kids are kind of carried by their beta counterparts but that's also 1) kind of the point and 2) seeing much more explicit interpersonal conflict between the friends was actually kind of nice, and at the end of it i can really still see them being friends, you know. and then add the cherubs in there and the entire post-act 5 (in terms of characters, at least) is actually really interesting. seeing all these people with ALL that baggage is very interesting. though i do wish there was less of an abundance of sitting there and talking about it . that's like the one main gripe i have with act 6
