"And that's how I met your mother" moment.

The assembly is almost complete. More lore, more backstory is on the horizon.

I said it'd slow down on making characters... ended up making a bunch more. But it's all for a reason, I promise! I have a bunch of things I've been trying to line up. But first, the previews. Starting with this one

I got inspired a while ago from randomly watching YouTube videos to try and make Clashes encounters like in Injustice. And who better to start with these 2.

Julia introduced Juni to anime, video games, etc. Took him to movies, arcades, and any fun events. She always encouraged him to express his creativity and try new things. This moment was no exception, but it's amongst the ones Juni will never forget. Based on true events - When I was in elementary school, I want to say it was right after school ended for the day. My mom picked me up and was speeding somewhere. I didn't know where, so I was confused as to why she was driving so frantically. Turns out, I think it was amongst the last showings of "Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow" in the area. And she knew I was really into Naruto, so she took me to see it. And the best part is how surprising it was. Cause I didn't even know the movie existed. Happy  Mother's Day!

Another game cover featuring Vovanissimo's(On Twitter) Lamb of the Sun, Elise! I said this character reminds me of a Soulsborne game NPC or possibly the MC. So I leaned into that, using my 2nd favorite Soulsborne game's cover art, Dark Souls 3.

Behold Juni's dad! Now his immediate family is complete. While Juni takes mostly after his mom in personality... Juni takes after his dad in mannerisms.

As menacing as this attack looks... She rolled a Nat 1. Comm for my friend Xeno and his unlucky bunny Mei Longing!

These 2 met because a bounty was put on Lilith's head for stealing, and Lucas happened to be on duty. In an alternate universe, they just happen to be in each other's space. Funny how life goes, right? Lucas was drawn to magic, wanting to learn how it works and to harness it himself. But he was just a simple farm boy back then. Lilith was born into a noble's family. She was expected to take up the mantle of becoming a strong fire mage, just like the rest of her family. Failure meant she was unworthy. I'd like to think that if these 2 had met when they were younger, they'd be rivals. Constantly pushing each other for the better. 

The redo is done! I knocked out 2 birds with one stone by redrawing Lucas with his time-skip look. I've been meaning to show off more instances of Lucas's mentorship with Bronwyn. Hopefully, I get out a bunch more before the end of the year.

I did a drawing of Bronwyn practicing wind magic back in 2024. Thought I'd revisit with my current skill.

While Lucas and Lilith wouldn't have met each other when they were young, I did imagine scenarios if they had. Lucas would be just a farm boy with big dreams. Lilith would be a noble fire mage-in-training with a lot to prove.

"The ground trembles in her wake...her figure eclipses the sun... her roar could be heard for miles... The fire burns so hot... only embers remain... Pray that your paths never cross the blazing terror known as... Luxiere... Or so the legend goes."

The librarian is here! I now have a brown bear, a black bear and a polar bear. Perfect setup for a We Bare Bears reference in the future. But for now, new character!
