Another one from the roadside.

Out for a Sunday walk, I got caught in a downpour as I stopped to gather roses, daisies, honeysuckle and jasmine from the wild tangle on the roadside. Arrived home drenched but with this handful of unexpected gifts.

The sculptural quality of the lillies by the front gate catches my eye.

Little things ...

Saw this awesome urban cowboy in the street today. Pink ten-gallon hat encrusted with glitter, rainbow shoes, feather boa. Must have been off to a really interesting rodeo.

Reflecting.

It's overcast and grey as we descend into Auckland, but one undaunted ray of sun manages to light up the water below.
