Sing-headcannons

With the movie having new characters, I felt like it was a good time to update my rules/info about how I’ll write and who for.

All requests are kept platonic

All requests are PG (family friendly so it’s accessible for any fans of the movie)

I count the Moon Theatre group as the following so if you ask for a general request, these are the characters. I will accept requests with as many of these characters as you want.

I will write for the following characters, but not count as the main group, so they have to be specifically requested. You can either request 1 of these with another member of the group/whole group or 2 interacting together.

- Jimmy (as a villain)

- Bears (as a villain)

In Sing 2, the alligaror said “This is the only club in town” but that makes little sense with how large the city appears so I have 2 possible theories.

1. Ash was in a new town

Ash could have auditioned to a theatre in a different town. As she wants to perform seriously, it’s possible she chose that in order to further her career.

2. The alligator meant “only live music club”

This one is more likely as Buster mentioned to Rosita he was reading to [her] mean Ash’s place right now. So it’s likely they all knew where Ash’s place was and where she performed.

If Ash is more interested in music than performing she might have focused on her career and if the city is as big as it seems, it’s more likely they have both a theatre and live music club.

After their performance, people cheer loudly. This is before Buster hits his head so its not part of the dream. That means the audience is enjoying it. This takes place after Sing 2 where their theatre was very sucessful so they could perform anywhere but for a veriety of reasons, community and ease for the performers who can’t always leave town, they are still attached to performing.

In Sing 2, Buster choses for the group to continue performing despite the danger to himself and already facing Jimmy. This is an awesome moment and shows his tenacity, but I can tell he cares about the theatre group even more than himself or the goals. He would be far less likely to agree if instead one of the others faced the confrontation and it would have been awesome.

Yes, he did ignore how Klaus treated Johnny, but he wasn’t there for the worst of it and Johnny would be unlikely to tell Buster. Also Klaus was mean, but not in any danger.

He didn’t interfere with Meena and Darius either, but Darius wasn’t mean, just self absorbed so Buster probably was far more likely to overlook that.

This is just something I thought of.

Exactly the title, are we counting them as canon for the movies?

Spoilers for Sing 2. Note: I have not seen the movie yet.

In the soundtrack, listening to the song “Sky Full of Stars” It at first sounds like one would expect, a fun pop song. During the final bit of the song, it’s clear that there is more of a battle tone to it. This combined with the fact that the lyrics aren’t exactly what one would expect a battle song to be, makes me wonder how much of the stage fight was choreographed and how much was actually fighting.

I know I pointed this out in theories before, but the change of tone in the song suggests more evidence for it.

What I’ll probably have to wait to see is how much of it is on stage and how much is an actual fight and what happens to make such a change happen. I doubt Johnny would be willing to derail the show by starting a fight during it. He probably stood up to Klaus sometime before and Klaus either did angrily or he was told to by Jimmy.

It is possible that it was planned that Johnny’s character sings the song normally, then angrily when Klaus’s character comes in and that’s when the stage fight happens, but even at that, we see the others concerned for him in the trailer, which wouldn’t happen if it was part of the plan.

Spoilers for Sing 2. Also, I won’t put my thoughts on every song (especially if it was released earlier, but also if I just don’t have much of an opinion on them.). I didn’t see the movie yet so please take that into account with these opinions.

“Let’s Go Crazy”- At first I wasn’t fond of the into, but the rest of the song is fun so I enjoyed it. Sounds like it would be a cool song for them to start performing with, but not exactly a favourite.

“Can’t Feel my Face”- I’m curious where it will fit in the movie, but it sounds cool.

“Heads Will Roll”- Really good. Judging by trailers/clips, the performance will be fun to. I can’t wait to see it.

“Sing 2 Audition Medley”- It’s a good a length, the songs are good and it’s just fun overall.

“Where the Streets Have No Name”- It’s amazing. Everyone sang this song so beautifully together.

“There’s Nothing Holding Me Back”- It’s a really good duet. It’s fun and their voices work well together. The last line was sang very well.

“Stuck in a Moment You Can’t Get Out of It”- Amazing, I really like the emotion in this song. We usually hear fast paced rock songs so this is really good for her.

“Soy Yo”- I’ll admit, I can’t understand the lyrics but I can tell it’s a good song.

“Sky Full of Stars”- It’s a fun song. I really enjoy the battle feel towards the end, but the dance part near the beginning. Also, the song itself doesn’t sound like a battle one, which makes the change in tone more prominent.

“Could Have Been Me”- Awesome. I wonder if this will be the song Porsha sings when rebelling against her dad. It surprised me that she only has one song in the soundtrack, but I think this is a very good one.

“I Say a Little Prayer.”- Not exactly a big memorable song, but they sound really good together and it’s a sweet song.

“Break Free”- Honestly, I was really looking forward to this song as Rosita is my favourite and it is very good. I’m not sure if I like it more than the more emotional songs, but it’s very good. Also, Gunter’s robot noises were awesome.

“I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”- I really like the song. It has a good mix of emotion and power.
