Dream a little dream of me

Born in the pureblood noble Tachikawa household, Mimi Tachikawa came from a wealthy, well-respected, and one of the most powerful families of the wizarding world. Losing her parents at the young and tender age of 3, Mimi was raised by her strict and regal grandmother who expected nothing but the best from her. Sole heir of the Tachikawa legacy, Mimi was raised to be fierce, unapologetic, and ambitious. Recognising the young girl’s talents and capabilities were far beyond a child of her age, her grandmother was vicious and hard on Mimi. Despite being devoid of maternal love, and growing up in a strict disciplined household, Mimi remembers her mother’s kind and warm smile that she carries in her kind and compassionate heart, which her grandmother tries very hard to erase.

Belonging amongst the “Sacred Twenty-Eight” families, Mimi’s grandmother was a traditional woman with ambition and cunningness to match. Unable to accept her daughter’s marriage, she took in Mimi when her parents died in the hopes of shaping Mimi to lead the Tachikawa legacy. The legacy that continued from her ancestors who were distinctively related to Salazar Slytherin. An extremely powerful and wealthy woman, Mimi’s grandmother was an intelligent, bold, highly influential, and dignified lady. Training Mimi in every field, she hoped to erase her daughter’s mistakes and was determined to see Mimi carry on her legacy forwards. Aware of the prophecy inflicted upon her granddaughter, she was determined to ensure the prophecy wouldn’t come to pass.

The Ishida’s were not only a wealthy family but also highly regarded as one of the noblest pureblood families in the wizarding world. Dating back generations the Ishida’s were a close ally of Salazar Slytherin himself. Yamato Ishida was raised to be the perfect child. Excelling in all his duties, he was determined, ambitious, and a clever child. Taking on the responsibility of the family name, so that his brother wouldn’t have to, Yamato always tried to make his father proud of him.

Coming from a broken home, where his parents were together only because of their reputation in society, Yamato was determined not to fall in love ever. Manipulation came as easy as breathing to Yamato who knew how to work people to his advantage quite well.

The Ishida’s and the Tachikawa’s held a feud that spanned decades old. Determined to be better than Tachikawa spawn, Yamato was always pushed by his father to excel. Mr. Ishida, one of the wealthiest man in the wizarding world, is one of the governors of Hogwarts and an occasional consultant to the ministry of magic. He cared more about his reputation and was more concerned about his social status. Hell-bent on carrying the ancestral feud with Tachikawa family forwards, much to his wife’s disappointment is training his sons to be unforgiving and ruthless in achieving what they want.

Sarting Hogwarts with the intention of making her grandmother proud of her, Mimi was extremely surprised when the sorting hat didn’t immediately place her in Slytherin as she had expected. Whispering into her mind, the sorting hat asked her for her preference between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Pleading the hat to place her in Slytherin, the hat tried to convince her that Gryffindor would help her raise to her potential and achieve greatness and glory. Frightened of her grandmother’s reaction Mimi begged the hat to sort her in Slytherin. Reluctantly the hat called out Slytherin and Mimi proceeded to join the house that would soon reveal its dark secrets to the young girl conflicting her very core.

Unaware of the prophecy and with the only intent of making his father proud, Yamato began his Hogwarts year, when placed immediately in Slytherin house by the sorting hat. Having immediate hatred towards the Tachikawa spawn, Yamato tries his best to defeat her every opportunity he gets. As time passes and hidden legends and truths are revealed his loyalties are tested time and again. Embarking on an adventure with the supposed foe, Yamato can’t help but fall in love with the girl who may or may not bring a destructive darkness to the world.

As their journey in Hogwarts began, the family rivalry continued with Mimi and Yamato. While competing to be the best, they find themselves on several dangerous adventures that brings them closer together. As old enemies of the families rise along with the threat to the very existence of the wizarding world, Mimi and Yamato discover the prophesy of a child born from the love amongst foes, who would either bring forth light or darkness to the legacy of Salazar Slytherin. Destined for greatness, Mimi along with Yamato faces the challenge that questions her very identity and everything she’s ever known.

This Mimatoweek2026, we celebrate Mimi and Yamato, a couple who, for many, transcend time. Their stories invite us to delve into worlds filled with mythology, past lives, and emotions that span entire eras. From the seasons to movements like steampunk and cyberpunk, each theme represents a distinct way of understanding time and how it transforms people, stories, and art.

Literature, works of art, and various forms of creation allow us to travel to other worlds, other eras, and other possibilities. They allow us to imagine what might have been, what could be, and what remains even when everything changes. Because creating is also a way of stopping time, even if only for an instant.

And yet, there's something that unites this entire universe: the community. A community made up of artists, writers, and fans who love this ship and want to share their feelings through drawings, fanfiction, and all kinds of creative expression. Every contribution, no matter how small or large, is part of this shared journey.

Quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen

One moment you're standing alone, a cigarette popped in your mouth and the next she's standing before you, clad in pink tulle and she smells so sweet, you can only wonder if that's what she tastes like, too.

Because that's what people say about her, isn't it? That's what all your friends think about her, too. Even your ex-girlfriend's half in love with her by now, if she hadn't been before. And you've never once looked at her and thought 'yeah, she's sweet'. No, when you first met her, you wondered how someone could wear so much pink. You'll deny it forever, but you also wondered what kind of girl could possibly look good in all that pink, not at all ridiculous, just like — like she was born to wear it. Like it was made just for her.

This girl — this fucking girl, she never shuts up. But the girl won't shut up, won't stop and as she gets closer you get wafted into her intoxicating scent and, desperate, you throw your cigarette away, still lit.

She was about to yell at you for littering, you could almost feel it.

But now she's staring at you dumbfounded because your mouth found its way to hers and you kissed her for a while, dragged her closer with a hand on the nape of her neck.

And she kissed you back.

She kissed you back, and now she's staring, mouth open like a silly goldfish, you think, but you don't say it, in case it infuriates her more.

And you shake your head and you groan and you say no fucking way, because after all this time, after everyone saying it and abusing the fucking metaphor, you're in front of Tachikawa Mimi, her lipgloss still smeared on your lips and all you can think of is she tastes sweet, so sweet, and you know with an absolutely earth-shattering certainty that you want to kiss her again.
