[Warning angst and death below]
Rewatching last life and am realizing this is the season where Jimmy is at his most quintessentially sopping wet cat era. Like he is so pathetic (affectionate). He had legit no firm alliance im the end. Like Grian pointed out, other people had very intimidating red life skins, but Jimmy's was literally his normal skin bandaged-up, pale, and feeble. like some terminally ill Victorian hospital patient.
This is gonna sound nuts but hear me out bc of how angsty this would be but
imagine if in LL ep7, only Jimmy perma-dies while everyone else survives to the next episode (including mumbo who in reality dies right after jimmy)
Imagine that grian mortally wounds Jimmy with the sword, but instant of finishing him off right then and there, Grian chases after mumbo, and the chaos of the fight migrates everyone elsewhere, leaving Jimmy behind alone, laying there with his dying thoughts, as everyone's voices fades away.
He legit cannot move bc all the broken bones. He's like on his back and just gazing at the minecraft sky above him going thru its daylight cycle becoming sunset, bc he has nothing else to watch.
Time passes by. He closes his eyes but then hears his southlander teammates call his name. He opens eyes and sees all 4 of them around him now in their red lives, and is overjoyed that they actually came back for him. They carry him back inside the southlanders castle, cure him with health potions and all 5 have dinner together. At the dinner table, mumbo shows Jimmy that he made some spyglasses, and then all 5 start doing aha's and joking around. Jimmy is like happy as ever and eats some steak.
But once he bites the steak, he wakes up from the pain of his health going down heart by heart, bc of hunger. It was just a dream. He realizes he was gonna actually permadie laying there alone and not be mourned.
elsewhere, players see the "solidaritygaming starved to death" message, remark how pathetic of a death that is, and the session ends and they move on. Send post
