A beautiful Autumn day in Castlemaine Victoria Australia.
Some time ago I started Jurljin (https://jurljin.tumblr.com) as a side project of Nannimensch. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to see and treat it as something completely separate from Nannimensch or not. In the meantime I think it’s not possible to separate it completely. "Nannimensch" is more than “Jurljin”, but “Jurljin” is a part of Nannimensch. One influences the other and there is always an overlap. So I’ve decided to post parts of the Jurljin project also here from time to time - to give an overview of everything I do … to give “Jurljin” a permanent place… and maybe to allow Jurljin and Nannimensch to merge more and more over time (or to find new forms and content).

spread 11: I am pleased to announce the recent acquisition by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco of my one-of-a-kind hand-painted book, Markandeya: Respite (2006).The book is my faulty recollection of a Hindu myth concerning Markandeya.

Hello dear! Thank you deeply for your blog, it's a special place for my bad days. As a chronical mentally ill, and a huge fan of Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, and Florbela Espanca, would you consider some recommendations of disabled writers?
Thank you so much, dear. Here are some of my favourites:
“The Diving Bell and the Butterfly,” by Jean-Dominique Bauby
“The Cancer Journals,” by Audre Lorde
“The Sleeping World & Other Poems,” by Lillien Blanche Fearing
“Deaf Republic,” by Ilya Kaminsky
“The Romance of a Shop,” by Amy Levy
“The Sufferers: Stories & Polemics,” by Taha Hussein
“Poems & Versions,” by David Wright
“The Year of Magical Thinking,” by Joan Didion
“The Center Cannot Hold: My Journey Through Madness,” by Elyn R. Saks
“Little Mermaid & Other Fairytales,” by Hans Christian Andersen
The sunlight pours all whiskey-gold.
Edith Sitwell, from “Fire of the Mind: The Complete Anthology of E. S.,” (via violentwavesofemotion)

“Metaphysical silence happens inside words themselves. And its intentions are harder to define. Every translator knows the point where one language cannot be rendered into another.”
