Itulah mengapa seorang guru pernah bilang padaku, bahwa yang penting sebenarnya bukan hanya "experience", tapi "how to reflect experience."
Tentang Gaza, merdekanya Suriah, bangkitnya Afghanistan, tangisan Sudan.
Ia memang peristiwa.

Gyouza
To be honest, I kinda miss Japan for reasons I can’t fully put into words, just a mix of memory and feeling. Gyoza was something we (my friends and I) often ate together. Even during the annual events in my Japanese class, my sensei used to make it for us. Interestingly, my Japanese sensei is Muslim, married to an Uyghur. So yes, gyoza is more than food to me: it’s therapy.
Come to think of it, making gyoza isn’t exactly easy. It’s all about the details, especially when shaping the edges of the dumpling skin. And from there, I drew a reflection about life:
~ Spend your time on things that money can’t buy, like education, health, therapeutic feelings, satisfaction.
~ Spend your money on things that time can’t buy, like education, health, food when you’re too busy working on something more productive (cost opportunity).
At one point, I wondered: Why do I spend hours making something that disappears in just a few minutes? But then I realized, the process itself is the gift. It became my me-time, my space to explore, and above all, it gave me pleasure, satisfaction, and stress relief. That’s why it’s worth every minute, even if I could just buy it instead. Plus, making it myself means I can adjust and customize the ingredients to be healthier. Isn’t that essential?
This time, I made vegetarian-friendly gyoza: filled with cabbage, mushrooms, spring onions, and egg (no meat at all). But next time, I’ll make the meaty version, since my nieces and nephews love it. And maybe I’ll record the ASMR of my youngest niece and nephew eating them. I bet it’s going to be hilarious!
New circle, new vibes ✨
Alhamdulillaahilladzii bini‘matihii tatimmus shaalihaat..
In fact, recently, I’ve been feeling a bit jaded with life; like everything is stuck, and there’s this sense of loneliness. Not because I’ve been alone all along, but because I rarely meet people on the same vibes. I’m fully aware that this feeling is dangerous, as it can lead me toward ingratitude.
Knowing myself, I realize it’s actually a sign that I need fresh air, a new circle, and a new perspective. Maasyaa Allah, yesterday biidznillaah I joined ETAW (English Time After Work). It was really fun yet deeply nurturing. So refreshing. And finally I could find a circle where I can speak in English too. May Allah ridho.
Allahumma baarik

Jazaakillah khayr Ummii 🫶🏻
Wishing it could be a couple's book, but qodarullah, both are mine 🤣 Btw one has already expired, and another one soon will be. Sadly, none of them were used for Hajj/Umrah 😭😭
Bismillah, Bismillah, there will be a Hajj/Umrah visa on my third one. May Allah ease and bless all the steps.
Allahummarzuqnaa ziyaarotal baitikal haraam, wabaitikal mu’adzdzom, warosuulikan mukarram, fii hadzal ‘aam, wafii kulli ‘aam, biahsanil haal.. Walam akum bidu'a ika rabbi syaqiyyaa..
