While I was enjoying some time with the pixies, I overheard Ffulcone, Ewicman's father, yelling, to my shock. I thought their relationship was good, especially since Ewicman always spoke about his parents positively, but from the sound of their argument...
Ffulcone is unhappy that his one and only child refuses to continue the family business, and instead is becoming a simple farmer. It sounded like it was an argument they had had multiple times before, however, and Ewicman took it all in stride.

I hadn't realized that the human world had pixies, until I woke up to find my garden absolutely infested. They are such mischievous little sprites, I couldn't help but enjoy a bit of time with them before encouraging them to leave my garden.
I finally got the honor of properly meeting Ewicman's parents, and they are wonderful people. Or at least his mother is, his father made some strange comments that Ewicman brushed off as jokes, but I'm.. not so sure they were.
They stuck around for a while after their son went to work on our crops, chatting with me as I tended our produce table where we sell our excess produce and fish.
Sisuile moved in with Randulf, into his treehouse. It makes me nervous to know she is living in a home perched within the branches of a grand tree, but I trust Randulf to watch over her and their children.

Partway through my pregnancy, the young man that had been expressing interest in Sisuile, Randulf de Kykeby, proposed to her. I expected her to reject him, for she was looking to become a noble or royal, and he was anything but, but to my utter surprise she excitedly said yes, and they were married by the end of the month.
It had been a few months since my marriage to Ewicman when I began to notice my appetite had changed, and my clothing began to fit me strangely.
I didn't need my fae magic to figure out that I was with child, finally!
I fear that this child may be of a fae nature, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. If that is the case, I suppose I must tell Ewicman the truth of my nature, for if we are to raise a fairy child...
When Ewicman is away, for one reason or another, Sisuile and I take the opportunity to stretch our wings. It feels good to be able to be ourselves sometimes, but we try not to do it too frequently.
Fae folk, and those of fae lineage, have the ability to identify our soulmate. However, because one's soulmate can be literally any sentient being - magical or mundane - it is incredibly rare to ever find your soulmate, so we don't actively search.
That was why, when Nuala suddenly realized that B'rtram was her soulmate, she proposed to him, contrary to societal norms.
It seemed to turn out alright in the end, because they were married by the end of the week. B'rtram is really a perfect match for Nuala, in every way, right down to their souls.

I am back, once again, with a name replacement mod! After the success of my Medieval Name Replacement Mod, I knew I wanted to make more name replacement mods for historical TS4 players. And since the other most popular Decades challenge, besides the Ultimate Decades Challenge, is the original one that takes place from 1890 to the present, it only made sense to do a mod that replaces the names that are hardest to find within those decades.
That is why our next mod is full of names between the years 1800 and 1919, so it can work for those who play Regency gameplay as well.
How does it work?
It’s very simple. You download the mod, and put it into your mods folder, wherever you keep default replacements. Once the mod is in your folder, load up the game. In both CAS, randomly generated townies, and babies, the available names will only be selected from a pool of period appropriate names.
When in CAS, if you use the die to randomize a name, it will only give you appropriate names, like so:
When a townie is randomly generated in town, they will no longer have modern names, like so:
When your sim gives birth to a baby, the random name options will all be appropriately old fashioned, like so:
Is it compatible only with English?
It should be compatible with every language. I did it the same way that I did the updated version of my medieval mod, so it should also be compatible with Kuttoe's Townie Demographics mod, and similar mods.
Any details on the names you can provide us?
a little over 4500 English female names
a little over 4600 English male names
nearly 13,000 English surnames/bynames
the date range that these names should be appropriate for is between 1800 and 1919
the English names should be appropriate for all English speaking countries, because I tried to pull names from the appropriate timeframe in multiple countries
Indian names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Islander names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Japanese names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Moroccan names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Latin names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Native American names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Southeast Asian names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
thousands of pet names (cats, dogs, and horses)
in the future, I intend to add names for the farm animals as well
Where did you get your names?
ALL over. Seriously, I scoured the entire internet for time period appropriate names. I couldn't begin to list my sources.
Any other details I should know?
base game compatible
you may only have one name replacement mod in your game at a time
this mod is subject to change as I find more names, so check back occasionally to see if the version is new!
if you have any questions or suggestions for names, feel free to message me
works for every age
will not replace the names of sims that have already been created
Disclaimer: The Indian, Islander, Moroccan, Latin, Native American, and Southeast Asian names were incredibly hard to find, so they may not be appropriate to the time period. The only names I could properly find were Japanese names. If you want to help me find better, more time period appropriate names for any of these, please feel free to send me a message!
I play the Ultimate Decades Challenge, as well as the regular Decades Challenge that starts in 1890, so on this blog you will find anything that might fit somewhere within those two challenges (or any other historical challenge that takes place over that span of years).
Nothing will be sorted by year or era, but instead by the type of item it is, because I am no historian.
I will also be sharing things that aren't necessarily strictly cc or mods for the decades challenge, but things that I, personally, think would fit well with certain decades.
So if that sounds good to you, welcome in!
You may browse to your heart's content, or go above to the ellipses, where you can find a way to navigate through the categories.
The Games We Play: A TS4 Legacy by @Cyazurai/sappychan
Have you ever really given much thought to the fact that there are hundreds of genres and subgenres of just about every medium out there? Movies, books, video games, music, etc. Whatever it is, there are so many different types it’s almost overwhelming.
Well, I have. I’ve thought about this extensively. And about how to incorporate it into TS4 - specifically, a legacy. I’ve also written a CAS challenge based on a similar concept, but it, frankly, doesn’t translate as well into a CAS challenge as it does into a legacy challenge. So, I finally worked up the mental power to put together what I’ve been wanting to do forever.
And that’s how we end up here, with The Games We Play Legacy.
The generations are based on 20 different big, popular genres. They are not all required, you can mix and match, play which ones you want - after all, we’re not all necessarily fans of the same genres of games. Along with the 20 generations, there are also 40+ subgenres that you will roll for (potentially more by the time you read this, I’m not going to update this number every time I add a new subgenre), that will add new elements to each generation to make them completely new every time you play. The subgenres are not optional.
If you play this and want to share it, please tag it with #TGWPLegacy or #TheGamesWePlayLegacy so I can find it!
General Rules
First things first, this is a legacy. Legacies are generational. So if you’re looking for something you can complete with one sim, this isn’t the challenge you’re looking for.
Before you make a sim, decide how you want to play the legacy. Stay with the generations the way they are, randomize them, pick and choose, play them in order from your favorite genre to your least favorite, however you want to do it, just pick before you create your sim.
Once you’ve picked your first generation, spin the wheel for your subgenre(s). You will do this for every generation, and you might get the same subgenre multiple generations in a row. You can either choose to reroll a repeat subgenre, or keep it. It’s your choice if you want to repeat things you’ve done before.
Each generation is based on a big, popular genre, and has a general outline, with a goal and things to complete. The subgenres will add additional requirements for each generation to complete, that will make each playthrough of the challenge completely different.
Everything in each generation must be completed in order to move on to the next generation; subgenre goals included.
Each generation also has a different branch of that specific genre to choose between; for example, Survival will have things like Winter Survival, or Zombie survival.
Optional: Name every generation after character(s) you like from that genre! For example: Ryley for survival (Subnautica), Abigail for farming sim (Stardew Valley), etc. It adds a bit of extra fun to have a name theme.
Complete all of the generations’ main goals, and subgenre goals, before you move on to the next generation. If your sim dies before they finish their requirements, feel free to either move on to the next generation, resurrect your sim as a playable ghost to finish, or finish the goals as their spouse. However you want to do it.
No cheats, preferably!
You can play on whichever age span you prefer, but I recommend normal or some MCCC altered version of normal.
This challenge is designed for those with all packs. Including packs I don’t own, myself. Please feel free to change up the generations however you need to to fit with the packs you don’t own.
If you play with custom aspirations, and have one you think will fit a certain generation better than what I have listed, feel free to substitute it!
Before your founder/current heir has children, roll your subgenre(s) for the next generation to see if there will be specific requirements for who is eligible for heir. This will be something you need to pay attention to.
Some generations will involve occults, aliens, or supernatural elements. If you want realism, feel free not to include these generations or subgenres.
I will probably keep continually updating this challenge as new packs come out, and as I test the challenge and see what works and what doesn’t. Ya know?

Ewicman built a table for us to sell our produce and other things we have found or created. Each of us takes a turn tending the table, when we don't have something we're already busy with. Often, this ends up being one of us sisters, because Ewicman is usually out foraging or hunting, fishing, or at home tending the garden.
It's been a rather boring existence now that there's a man in the house to do the traditionally masculine things for us.

Our home underwent a lot of changes after our marriage. My sisters still have no beds, but they stay in the fairy house - Ewicman thinks they sleep on the ground inside the sheltered garden, and I nurture that delusion.
Inside our hut, Ewicman and I have the absolute necessities for human existence. Not much else, but we will expand it.
We also changed the look of the garden's shelter; Ewicman sanded down the tree trunks I'd grown to hold up the straw roof, and commented on how we really chose the perfect place to build a garden, with trees having grown so uniformly. It was hard not to say that it didn't come that way, but it's not something you can casually tell a human. "Oh no, the trees didn't grow that way, I made them sprout so we could build the shelter," is a sentence that only makes sense if you know about magic.
Ewicman and I married in the spring of 1301. His parents loved me and my family, and that was all the approval we needed.
We had thought about moving in with his parents, but they had no room for my sisters, and Ewicman thought that my plot of land was the perfect place to start a new family and a new farm. Especially since my little garden was already doing so well.
Not that he knows why it's doing as well as it is.
