This is a default replacement for servo heads which makes their jaws animated. Only high-detail meshes are affected. That means that in the Graphics/Performance Options you must have the Sim/Object Detail option set to High to see the change.

Known issues

The female servo lipstick is smeared under the jaw part. However, you may consider it a result of the jaw movement.

Conflicts

Do not use with any other default replacement meshes for servo heads, e.g. Classic Servo Default by LazyDuchess or T.O.B.O.R. from MySims as a Servo DR by Khal Ulti.

This default replacement may be used with default replacement textures for servos, e.g. Default Replacemet Servos by Dazro. However, some of them, e.g. Polished Oak Servos by hat_plays_sims, may look somewhat wrong when a servo moves their jaw.

Lots of people seemed to want this, so I finally crawled out of bed and wrote it. Sorry for any poor English, I tried my best 🙃

In this tutorial I detailed how to convert a lamp from TS4 to TS2. They're pretty simple, but lit/unlit states seem to confuse people, so I've gone through how to deal with those as best as I can! This tutorial is meant for people who at least have grasped the basics of 4t2 object conversions, but if you encounter any issues feel free to reach out to me on here or the Simscord.

The lamp that I converted for this tutorial isn't released yet, but you can go to my lighting tag for examples of lamps I've converted with this method!

Oh--and do keep in mind that I've used Blender for this tutorial, not Milkshape, but the process would be pretty similar if you did use the latter. Just a bit more frustrating 😅

     After a little pause I finally got back into The Sims 2 (ah, my first love~ ☆), but this time I had a little bit of trouble switching from the advanced TS4 interface to TS2′s old and glitchy one, especially since the latter was designed to run on 4:3 screen resolutions.      Of course, I looked around for fixes (y’know I love y’all beautiful modders out there 💕), yet I couldn’t seem to find anything that would fully satisfy me and my screen resolution. Hence why, I’ve decided to make my own!

Object Freedom 1.02

Do you have custom objects (or maybe even Maxis objects) that are not able to be quarter-tile placed, but don’t have the time to painstakingly go through every file to change the values? 

Do you have a handful of objects that you need to put down constantly, but it wasn’t enabled in the catalog to do so? 

Does that small custom plant sit fine on the table, but wish for your Sims to actually eat at the table (not with food in hand) while the plant sits upon it? 

Tired of cars crashing into each other, puddles stacking, etc. and you didn’t grab the hotfix yet?

Objects in the game can now rotate at more than 45 degree increments! More info after the cut.

EA McKracken Beds, Deposted and Destenciled, Default Replacement OR Standalone Versions

Doing some building without CC or store content (yes, ouch) made me realize how many EA beds I just don't use at all like the McKracken ones. I thought they wouldn't be too bad without the posts or the stencils. Pretty much what I was looking for in the build I was doing.

So I removed the posts, repositioned the knobs, added a specular, and removed most of the stencils. I left a subtle one on preset 5 that I didn't hate). Also bumped up the energy rating from 4 to 6.

And in an attempt to have less clutter in my buy catalog, I did default replacements for them as well.

CC Free Newbie Family House Download!

Another recreation I did not long after the Hick house one. Again I tried making things the same ratio as the Sims 1. I really like that card table but of course the Sims 2 version is much smaller, so I just went with it :P

CC-Free Starter Apartments!

Or, as I called them… Startapartments because I can’t think of any names besides portmanteaus :P

This is actually a CC-Free recreation of something I made previously. The layout/design is based on 1960s motels, but I used it as studio apartments. This is zoned as a residential lot, so there are no apartment doors on the lot currently (just in case you want to use it in a different way). But it’s ready to be used as apartments if you just swap out the front doors and do ChangeLotZoning.

Most units, as you might see, are super small, so you could squish two sims in one with a double bed but it’s more roomy for a single sim (hence being a starter). Althoughhhh I did smush 7 sims into one apartment myself, so ya know do what you will aha XD

Download - Floor plan under the cut I don’t know what prompted me to start making over things in the lot bin, but it’s been fun! I’ve been treating them a little bit like foundation challenges, so they keep the same general ‘shape’ of the original homes. I was going to try keeping the number of rooms the same too, but I decided to scratch that when I finished the porch entryway for this. :)

SIMS 2 - Upwardly Mobile, Sweeping Success and a Stair to Remember Fixes

So The Upwardly Mobile stairs had this hideous texture that made me never use it. It was supposed to match the Chic railing, and later on the Sweeping success stairs, but I guess they never updated the textures... I defaulted all the original colours to match the Sweeping stair version. While I was at it I noticed both versions had horrid mapping in the back of the staircase that bothered me. I replaced their meshes to fix the mapping of the back and clean up the stair mapping. I also removed the center rail as an option. As an Extra I also made versions without the carpeting. I thought it was ugly and like it better sans carpet anyway.
