Protect me from what? What would I need protection from if there were no men in the world?

I feel like because men, for years, having been getting away with doing the bare minimum, they have a really fragile idea of what is their masculinity is supposed to contribute. For centuries, the world has pushed this narrative that men should be protectors and providers. But know that people are becoming more mentally and socially aware, men are being asked to play are more emotional and intellectual role that they are having trouble fitting in their definition of masculinity. And it’s hurting all of us. 

In this age, where most women don’t need money or protection, men are struggling to find a role to play. Women no longer need to submit to men that are not worthy of their submission. Woman need partners —partners that are emotional, intelligent, thoughtful, loyal, respectful, grateful, responsible...etc. And men are having trouble being that because al they were taught since they were children is that they are already worthy of a good woman just for being men and that their main responsibility in this world is to financially provide.
