Aw well thank you so much! I appreciate every and all compliments so never feel as though you are making a fool of yourself. My daughter has been raised in all this craziness so part of her is pretty much immune to it. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t still go into mama bear mode and want to attack whenever someone is invading her personal space. Oh great, yet another reason to love you and admire you even more. I think your daughter is a tough kid, some of my friend’s kids have a harder time adjusting to paparazzi following them around. And god, I get you. I would probably go into mama bear mode too, I mean I don’t have kids of my own but I’m very selfish when it comes to my private life. Oh, i have so many, especially hidden gems that tourists don’t even know about. It would depend on the things you like if you’re okay with places that aren’t that fancy, then you’re in for a treat.

My oldest child, and my only girl, is eighteen and I’m still struggling with the fact that I am the mother of a legal adult. Since I’ve been working a lot recently, I decided the two of us would take a trip to New York City and just do some shopping and have some spa days. That and she has been begging me to take her to see the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since the day she turned sixteen because she’s obsessed. So here we are, two days into our trip, and a street performer spots me and begins to sing ‘My Heart Will Go On’. In theory this is very sweet and kind of him to do, but it didn’t help me to hide from the photographers who then followed my daughter and I around the rest of the day. Anyway, I’m Kate and I’m learning to take the good with the bad even at this stage of my life.

Okay I’ll probably end up making a fool of myself, but I love you and you’re one of my biggest inspirations. You probably get that a lot too. I’m sorry about the paps following your daughter around, though. That’s incredibly uncomfortable, especially when it comes to family members who didn’t chose this, but hey comes with the job, right?
