It turns out inducing lactation without pregnancy is very time-consuming. Unfortunately, I wasnβt able to start producing in time for our last visit, but I did find a solution to replicate lactation, and honestly, it was AMAZING. β β We used a device called a βsupplemental nursing systemβ (SNS) and GUYSβ¦ it changed the game. Β If youβre trying to induce lactation youβve gotta invest in one. β β A thin feeding tube attaches to a bottle or bag of baby formula, the tube then gets inserted into your littleβs mouth when they latch. The tube is very thin so itβs not that noticeable but it gives your little the sensation that theyβre actually nursing. Most mothers use it to help kickstart lactation. β β We didnβt have enough time together for me to start lactating, but it seriously enhanced the whole nursing experience for both of us. I canβt recommend this thing enough. β β The one I bought was pricey at $100 but since nursing is SUCH a big kink to me I can honestly say it was worth every penny. β β To see him latched on with milk dripping down his chin and to hear those cute little swallowing sounds as he happily kicked his feet was just magical. It really felt like I was nursing him for real and it was the best feeling in the world.β β Have you ever heard of an SNS or tried one yourself? Β β
For me; nursing is the most special aspect of our mdlb dynamic. Nothing even comes close. That warm safe feeling that comes with being held coupled with the bond between mommy and baby make it unlike anything Iβve ever experienced. Itβs my absolute favorite π.
waking up in diapers: a reflection
aka: i've been unable to wear diapers for almost a month now and i'm very sad about it and think about it all the time
there's something so special about waking up in a diaper, especially a heavily used one, that's different than wearing them and using them when you're up and moving. obviously there's good things about that too! getting to hear the fabulous crinkle when you sit and move, the sweet release feeling of just going potty wherever you are, the knowledge that you're safe and padded (and if you're lucky enough to have a caregiver, having someone there to take care of you and change you!).
but waking up in a wet diaper. whether you managed to completely bedwet without waking, or you woke up for a second or two to go potty in your diaper knowingly before drifting back off. waking up with your legs spread, feeling the wet, heavy padding swollen between your thighs--there's a moment where you feel so helpless and vulnerable. you feel so little and babyish. and you're not awake enough to feel anything else.
maybe you sleep on your tummy, and you can feel the padding sagging down over your bottom, holding you in position. or on your back, and the pressure is right over your private parts, accentuated by how wide your legs are spread to accommodate the garment. on your side, if you can manage, your center of gravity is thrown off by how heavy the diaper is; usually, you're aware of it and where it's touching you instantly.
remembering or realizing how babyish you are, to have used your diaper so much over the course of the night... that feeling right there, that little baby feeling, is heaven. you're not processing the shame that likes to creep up sometimes, you're not thinking about what anyone thinks, all you're thinking about is how full your diaper is, how it feels against you, how happy you are to know you were safe and protected from accidents last night.
i live for that bliss. relish in it. waking up and barely even thinking, just knowing that i'm a baby in a diaper, and that i'm happy that way. i don't like to even get up then, just stay laying back and enjoying the sensation of warmth from my diaper and my covers, the safety of being all taped up and under blankets, and the relaxing state of mind that usually comes with my littlespace.
