Grace helps tho!!! He plays lots of little “games” with Simon (it’s just grounding techniques Grace modified to make it a little easier for a baby like Simon to manage) and Simon thinks he’s the coolest in the world because Grace can make his head go from feeling icky to a lot less icky

When Simon is big he can ground himself enough to get through the day. But tiny Simon? Oh the poor baby is incredibly prone to dissociative moments, leaving him staring off into space and fraying his sweater with how hard he's tugging on it! 💔

So Grace is absolutely on top of helping with grounding Simon! Grace definitely makes these groundings feel like fun games! These are techniques Grace used with students who were really anxious/with big worries♡♡

One Simon really likes is the "ABCs around the room" where Grace and him name things they can see in the order of the alphabet (A for Armando, B for Beaker etc) ♡

Another one is the "walk and talk" where him and Grace will simply walk around the dome/ship and Grace will say things like "hear our shoes? They're going 'swish swish' what does it feel like?" it helps Simon focus on his steps and bring him back to the present 💖💖

He just wants to help annnnd they're using such interesting tools!!! How could baby Simon not be intrigued??

Grace probably set Simon up with some fun toys on a blankie so Simon could play while he and Rocky worked. And for the first few minutes it worked!

Theeeen Grace has three seconds to hold away the torque wrench from a very curious boy!

"Rocky told Grace that hatchling Simon not be entertained long," Rocky chirps as he hears the clink of the wrench being set to the side, "still say Grace put Simon in screen room while Grace Rocky work."

Grace chuffs, gently holding Simon's wrist as the little guy happily papped Grace's face.

"He's not going to become an ipad kid just because we have work to do," Grace says as he stood, guiding Simon back to his blanket, "besides, remember last time we tried that?"

Rocky shifts, "can't forget. Simon cry cry cry, very leaky loud."

"Exactly. So, we'll take a few curious grasp at tools over a weepy little one," Grace says, patting Simon's head before going back to the lab stool, "with your hearing and my reflexes, we can manage."

"But Grace reflexes bad bad bad."

So he can equally "help" doin' engineering stuff with Rocky n' science-y stuff with Grace!!!

He is Captain's "little hero" 🥺 it's utterly adorable, he's so happy, running real fast down the halls of the ship so that his cape will go woosh in the wind!

Grace is a bit messy, so the cup helps make sure he can actually eat all of his snack!

Simon gets anxious about spilling anything, he doesn't want to make a mess :(

So knowing that it can't spill would ease his worry, and he can focus on playing!

I'm not sure what design or color Simon would like- purple or green, maybe?

but for Grace, I think Eva or another friend saw a space themed one and got it for him, putting it on his desk with no comment so he can't try and claim he isn't a messy little guy hehe

Something with a lid because well, tiny Grace is kinda rambunctious and always toddling around so the lid ensures everything stays inside!! Even if he's bouncing about, no cheerios are spilling out! Definitely something he's had since the vat because Stratt was done with finding random crumbs in Grace's reports xD

Simon's is a bit more simple for the sake of his dexterity/mobility (though he does need to plop down to actually get inside the cup which is honestly adorable)

I don't want to talk about this situation anymore on here because I want this blog to be a safe space, but this situation is seriously getting out of hand. Especially considering she just made another video on it. I haven't watched it, so correct me if I'm wrong, but she's just exploiting Tofu for more views.

She doesn't get that what people are mad about isn't her history of animal abuse. She's trying. I get it. It's the fact that she knows this isn't good for her snake, and she keeps doing it. She released more Tofu vs Markiplier videos after addressing the situation. If she really cared about Tofu's wellbeing, she would stop.

I am seeing new Tumblr posts about him, seemingly unaware of the situation, and it is making me very uneasy

I'd expect it from oblivious people on Youtube, but really, Tumblr, please think critically about the situation. Tofu is being abused, and there is nothing funny or cute about that.

Nobody is in the wrong for not knowing, but if you are aware of the situation, and continue posting positively about Tofu the snake, that is bad. That is making light of a real abuse situation.

Puppy Simon is so curious!! He wants to see what everyone is doing all! the! time!!!

He's also clingy as hell. And he needs to learn a little about personal space and such :(

Ava's working, but Simon wants to see what she's working on! So he squeezes his (quite large) body in between her and her task at hand and she's like, "Simon, move!!" and playfully shoves him, taking his shoulders and shaking him lightly before kissing his head. He giggles and whines happily.

Ava has discovered that she doesn't have to be as gentle with puppy Simon as she does with baby Simon. He likes roughhousing occasionally, and sometimes can get really worked up, playfully growling and baring his teeth, lightly biting at Ava's hands, etc.

And this works great for her. Ava's not one to babytalk Simon anyways, and having someone she can be a little rough with in a playful, positive way is good for her. She likes being able to wrestle things out of Simon's mouth and cup the sides of his head to shake him around a little. She likes to tousle his hair and boop his nose until he growls at her. It's a huge anti-stresser for her.

Engie LOVES a good wander!! Loves to see what others are up to, learn new things, suuure he probably should stay put but, there's sooo many cool things to see!!

Simon will only wander if someone else is wandering with him ( *cough* Engie) because he is a very curious baby but needs the lil nudge of another tiny one to actually go off to wander! If said tiny one ditches him or he takes another wandering route, then poor Simon is sobbing because now he's alone and lost (he's 20 feet away from his carer)

Dave is a lil saint when it comes to staying put! If someone says for him to stay with them or to wait in a certain spot, he will!

Unlessssss it's an aquarium! Theeeen Davey is a wanderer, a little marine biologist who needs to see every single fish and aquatic creature!! So sometimes that means Dave lingers so he can see the little seahorse that's been hiding!

But...then he turns around to tell his carer that the seahorse came out annnnd no one is there!! Ooh he panics because he hadn't heard them say that they were just going to the washroom to change Simon, so Dave thinks they left him!!

He knows he should stay put but, he goes to the other parts of the aquarium, only getting himself more lost😭😭

Until his carer is frazzled, looking for Dave. Then they hear someone behind them.

"Excuse me, is there a Dave that's meant to be with you?"

They turn and see Dave, all teary eyed as an attendant stands beside him.

The attendant smiles as Dave practically runs into his carer's arms.

I am a huge fan of how Mark doesn't conform to societal gender roles both with how he presents himself and with his characters.

We obviously know that he is very accepting of the trans community (and the queer community as a whole), but he shows a very open mind in his actions as well.

Surface-level, just him using his "handsome and/or beautiful" with his interactive series, or correcting himself in videos whenever he says something that he thinks could be seen as potentially transphobic (or, at the very least, non-inclusive). And other things (specifically in how he presents himself), such as his long hair (and putting it in a ponytail), painting his nails for videos, piercing his ears for videos, all things that are typically feminine in American culture.

I can think of dozens of male Youtubers who wouldn't be willing to do these things, even if only for video bits.

And this absolutely extends to his projects.

Whether intentional or not, Darkiplier is extremely genderqueer-coded. And Wilford (in WMLW) is very canonically bisexual and generally queer-coded. As are many of his other characters. I mean, just look at Simon! I could go on and on about his role as a male character who doesn't quite fit into masculine gender roles.

Idk. This has been on my mind for a while and I wanted to express it somehow, even if that means writing a yappy Tumblr post while slightly tipsy ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ
