My sister buying me the base game and hot date of the Sims 1 and sitting in the basement of my childhood home and making David Boreanez sims.

Originally I was just lazy and wanted to name my site after something dear to me, so I named it after my Dog who’s name is Onyx. However the name works in multiple ways :)

I’ve used ‘Quiddity’ or ‘Quiddity Jones’ in some form online since 1995. It’s from the word quiddity, which means ‘the essential nature of something.’ I like to consider myself the essential nature of myself really, so I stuck with it.

Gohliad (Goliad) was a character from Adventure time and CupidJuice is my favorite drink in The Sims 4, it makes your sims flirty~ ♥ I’m a big fan of the pink, reds and light blues of valentines day so I like anything romance related.

i wanted to use “vatore” because you know, the vatore siblings, but it was already taken by a porn blog (or a beginning of one yikes) so i just added one more “v” 

I really, really like Dragon Age…also I’ve always thought “lyrium” was a phonetically pleasing word to say. So it was a match made in heaven.

Ridgeport is literally just a drink name from ts4. That’s it lmao I love it to death tho bc I love fancy drinks

I would spend way more time playing sims than going to the playground across the street from my house. My mum would force me off the home computer in the sims 1 days, and give me time limits to make me go play outside - and that folks is how I picked pixelplayground.

An asari ancient kingdom, also the name of the asari ark in MEA. I just love the sound of the name, elegant ♡

my name is just a play on spelling of the ts4 world “newcrest” but i just thought i’d be cool and spell it “nucrests.” there wasn’t much thought to it lmao

SENTATE was a name I made up for a character in a story when I was 10! When I decided I wanted to make cc as a ‘fashion house’ I thought it would be a good choice…… I had no idea it translated to ‘sit down’ in spanish until after a few years of releasing cc lol

The year was 2009. I was transitioning from my LJ based on a specific sims family (Wylde Sims) to a LJ based on more generic sims. I googled words with SIM in it and chose this because it was short and available.

It’s 2015, you open your game and are greeted by a bright ass white loading screen, you go into one of the two neighborhoods and create a sim with clayifed hair, mayberrie’s blush, all your furniture is in the eversims ever so lovely palette and is barely maxis match, sims with elf ears as far as the eye can see, it’s clear skies and sunny because of an eternal summer- weather doesn’t exist, you put your screenshots on a PSD that makes it so saturated you feel like you’re about the blow your eyeballs out and start all over— simpler times.
