At first, they agree to keep their relationship a secret, mostly because Izuku wants to consult Katsuki's PR team first. His childhood friend and now boyfriend has become quite a popular pro hero now, despite his brash personality; anything that involves him gets discussed all over social media by his fans and then the rest of the world.
Izuku, despite being just a teacher at the moment, knows how much public opinion can affect hero rankings. It shouldn't be that way, but since it seems like it's not going to change anytime soon, he wants to avoid damage to Katsuki's public image.
Katsuki doesn't give a fuck about that. He's over the moon because, after confessing to Izuku, the teacher not only agreed to start a relationship with him, he said he felt the same.
His middle school self would have definitely cared about making sure to keep his ranking, but now that he's a professional, actually, the number one at the moment, the thing he cares about the most is Izuku. Katsuki wants to make him happy, he wants to spoil him and buy anything he could possibly want, and he wants the teacher to stay by his side for the rest of their lives.
He's more than ready to tell everyone about the two of them, but agrees to the secrecy because the cute nerd himself asks him to.
However, Katsuki is actually terrible at pretending. He gets caught by paparazzi and overly enthusiastic fans smiling now, being more patient around annoying reporters and being in such a good mood lately that he doesn't snap at civilians for exposing themselves to danger or ignoring his instructions.
Still, he's very professional, and an excellent pro hero, but he's suddenly more approachable and kind to people.
The fans begin to speculate, the reporters are intrigued and willing to do anything to get an answer from him because now they're sure there's something weird going on, and everyone wants to be there first to post about it.
His PR team begs him to behave like he used to, but the pro hero can't do that anymore. He's a besotted idiot who gets ridiculously happy just thinking about going back home to see Izuku smile at him and welcome him to their apartment.
Katsuki gets to kiss his nerd on the lips and every inch of his body as many times as he wants and they expect him to act like an angry beast? That's practically impossible.
The reporters start asking him about it, and even though he tells them it's because he's so fucking happy at the moment, he tries not to say why.
However, he ends up blurting everything out after he finds a Twitter account called warherodekusimp that posts a lot of pictures of sweet teacher Izuku on the streets, or outside the UA and mentions how much they'd like to have him all to themselves.
Their followers do the same, constantly trying to get Izuku's attention, saying he should give one of them a chance.
Katsuki doesn't like that at all, so he explodes. He uses his official account to tell the world Izuku is his, and only his, that everyone is wasting their time daydreaming about the nerd and that, in fact, pro hero Katsuki is going to marry him very soon.
Only that the pro hero hasn't proposed to the youngest UA teacher yet.
That's how Izuku finds out they're engaged, a day before Katsuki gives him a very beautiful and expensive engagement ring.
Despite Katsuki breaking the promise of keeping the secret for at least three months, Izuku melts at the proposal and forgives him almost immediately.

Okay but Katsuki getting really emotional whenever he thinks of holding hands with Izuku, because he regrets deeply not taking his hand that day when they were kids.
They're not dating yet, but Katsuki is in love with him and, as usual, doesn't know what to do with all the feelings he has for Izuku.
So they're training, Katsuki falls to the ground and Izuku offers him his hand to take, but moves it away almost immediately.
"I'm sorry, I know you don't like–"
Katsuki gets up on his own and holds Izuku's hand with both of his while fiercely staring into those green eyes he loves so much.
"There will never be a day that I won't want to hold your hand, not again."
They both freeze in surprise at the deep emotion in his words and look away from each other, faces bright red, but neither of them let go of the other.

It takes Katsuki only two days to find Sakuko and bring her home; Izuku finds out because Hamasaki calls him as soon as her daughter is back with her. She even thanks Izuku profusely because she believes Katsuki is the green haired man's boyfriend and acted because he told him so.
Which is, kinda true, except for the boyfriend part.
Since it's early in the day, Izuku decides to pay them a visit.
Sakuko looks happy, but haunted at the same time; she tells Izuku that a man kidnapped her and kept her in his basement for a while, but refuses to say anything else.
Izuku not only understands, he's glad she refuses to say anything about it, because he doesn't believe he's strong enough to hear it.
"What happened to him? Is he in jail?"
The young woman shakes her head, but smiles softly at him.
"Your boyfriend said that I could choose his fate. I told him that I wanted him dead so he killed him."
Neither Hamasaki nor Sakuko seem to regret it. They don't even question the fact that Katsuki asked her calmly, and they certainly don't tell Izuku that his "boyfriend" is a dangerous man.
Izuku understands them completely, but he still shivers a bit anyway because that's the man he's going to go on a date with.
"He's a good one, Izuku," Hamasaki grins, like she's reading his mind. "You should keep him. You'll be safe with him."
"I..."
"Besides, he truly loves you," Sakuko adds, and Izuku wonders what Katsuki could've said for her to be so sure about that statement.
He doesn't have the heart to tell them they're wrong about Katsuki and him, so he nods and keeps drinking his tea. When Sakuko mentions she has started going to therapy, Izuku feels a lot better.
It seems that she's going to stay with her mother from now on, again, Izuku doesn't blame her. She went through a lot, she needs to feel safe.
"If there's anything else you need, call me, alright?"
"We will. Thank you, Izuku."
Before saying goodbye to him, they both give him a tight hug. And, as he's leaving their place, he realizes that he's proud of Katsuki, no matter what methods he decided to use in order to save Sakuko.
He'll thank him that night.

He has no idea why he's nervous that night, but his coworkers have noticed. In truth, Izuku is not sure what's the right thing to do anymore, because Katsuki is a dangerous man who does illegal stuff on a regular basis, and who has a reputation that makes him scary even in the eyes of other criminals.
Well, whatever he thinks doesn't matter at the moment, because Izuku is glad Sakuko is back with her mom, and wants to thank Katsuki for it.
Besides, he owes him now.
As he keeps himself busy serving other people their drinks, and also avoiding the other bunnies because they have been trying to get information out of him, he starts thinking about what Hamasaki told him about Katsuki. Did she truly believe Izuku would be safe with someone like him?
Maybe he should ask her directly next time; she was very close to his mother, so maybe she has an idea of what would Inko think about Izuku dating someone like Katsuki.
Then, he rolls his eyes at his own ridiculous thoughts, sure, Sakuko said that the blond was in love with him, but that doesn't mean it's true.
Izuku has to be realistic; a man with that amount of power and money could date the most beautiful model in the world, or perhaps an actor. Maybe he's just fixated with Izuku because he kind of rejected him the first time.
Izuku has never been an interesting person, and, according to some of his middle school classmates, he's very plain.
When his bracelet turns on, Izuku smiles, assuming is his only real client, and moves away from the bar counter so he can face him.
However, it's not Katsuki. Instead, a very tall Russian woman smiles seductively at him and takes his hand. She has security with her, and even though she doesn't speak a lot of Japanese, with her bodyguards' help, she manages to tell Izuku what she wants from him.
At first, she tells him to serve her drinks and bring a couple for himself; it's dangerous to get wasted in a place like that, so Izuku asks the bartender to give him a couple with no alcohol in them.
He's not the only bunny who does this, besides, the owner of the place is aware of it and allows it because keeping bunnies safe and happy is one of the most important things in the Half-Moon.
Then, she makes him sit very close to her, so she can grab him by the thigh while she chats with a few people she brought to keep her entertained.
At some point, and without a warning, she kisses him on the neck, making him jump away.
She giggles, probably a bit drunk at this point, and gets closer to him in order to try to kiss him again. Izuku does his best to let her know he's not there to provide those kind of services, but the words only make her narrow her eyes at him.
He rises from the couch, and before any of her security team can make him sit back down, he feels a familiar hand on his shoulder.
"Are you alright, baby?"
"Yes, Kacchan."
The crime lord nods, before taking a few steps in front of the green haired bunny and start speaking with the woman in almost perfect Russian.
Izuku has no idea what he's telling her, but at some point, one her bodyguards growls at Katsuki, but the woman stops him with a hand gesture. Then, after staring from the blond to Izuku for a couple of seconds, she nods towards Dynamight, and leaves with her people.
She looked a bit pale right before leaving.
"What did you tell her, Kacchan?"
"The truth,"He says in response, glaring in their direction until they finally leave the place. Only then, he turns around to look at Izuku, pulls him into his arms and gives him a kiss on the top of his head.
Grabbing him by the waist, Katsuki leads Izuku towards his favorite place in the nightclub. That VIP zone is practically his territory now; the green haired man doesn't remember any other clients sitting there after Dynamight became one of the regulars.
He sits him on his lap and takes a tissue to clean Izuku's neck.
"Did she leave a mark?" he asks, to which Katsuki hisses in affirmation.
When he's done, he then kisses Izuku on that same spot almost fiercely, surprising the green haired bunny.
"Sorry, baby," he says, even though he clearly isn't because he has a grin on his face. "I'm afraid I'm the jealous type."
Still blushing after the kiss on his neck, Izuku looks away, not knowing what to say to that.
"You look very cute when you get all shy around me."
Izuku decides that it's time to change the topic, otherwise he'll end up looking like a strawberry by the end of the night.
"Kacchan."
"Yes?"
He can hear the amusement in his voice, even before Izuku looks at him again. This time, thinking about Hamasaki and her daughter, the green haired man beams at the blond in return before leaning closer to give him a hug.
"Thanks for bringing Sakuko home."
When he moves backwards to see him in the eyes again, Izuku realizes that the crime lord is blushing a bit. At least they're kinda even now.
Katsuki then pulls him closer, in order to give him a kiss on the tip of his nose.
"I'll do anything for you, Izuku."
That sounds endearing, but also terrifying at the same time, knowing what the man is capable of doing.
"I hope you're ready for our date, baby."
"I am, Kacchan." He nods, despite not being sure of it. However, he made a promise, and he'll keep it. So he tells the blond when his next day off is.
"Great. I'll pick you up in the morning."
"Can Toshi come?"
"Of course, I still want his approval, you know?"
Despite wanting to keep emotional distance between the two, Izuku finds himself giving in a little and chuckling at his words. They both know the black kitten already likes him.
