[Scold Prompt] "Yuki! What were you thinking? You should know better than to try something so dangerous like that!" Asher folded his hands over his chest as he frowned at the kid. "Do you know how worried I was? Seriously! What've you got to say for yourself?"
My muse has done something dangerously stupid. Come scold them heavily out of concern!
Yukine looked down, not wanting to meet Asher’s gaze. He didn’t like how the other was reprimanding him. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and kicked at the ground absentmindedly. “I don’t see why you’re so worried. It’s not like I would have died.”
"Good," Asher replied, a small smile of his own coming to his face as he felt a sense of relief. He didn’t trust very many people with his home address, let alone with what was inside of his apartment… But Yuki knew both, even if the phoenix had been a bit dodgy on the details. Before he knew it, Asher was smirking mischievously, reaching up and ruffling the boy’s hair playfully. "And besides, if you’re going to do something ridiculously dangerous, you should run it by me first. If it’s really cool, I might join you."
He couldn’t stay mad at Yuki for long, didn’t like the taste it left. Getting upset with someone because of their safety being at risk… that was awfully committed. Luckily, Yuki wouldn’t expect him to attend any soccer games or anything, so having a friendship with him wouldn’t restrict Asher in any way. Maybe that was part of why he liked the kid?
The younger male was taken by surprise when the other ruffled his hair. Yukine laughed softly and batted Asher’s hand away. “I don’t think you can handle the dangerous situations I get into, but if I find something that’s not so bad, I’ll give you a call.” Even though he meant it in a joking matter, it was true that some of the situations he was put in were not the most safest to be in. He wouldn’t risk the older male’s life like that.
"And when I do, make sure you can keep up with me, I can’t have you slowing me down." Yukine grinned and nudged him with his shoulder. He was glad to have found a sort of companion in Asher. The boy didn’t think that he could call him a friend just yet, but maybe one day he could.
Asher laughed at that, sticking his tongue out at him oh-so-maturely.
"Yeah, yeah," he replied. "I'm tougher than I look, kid. You might have trouble keeping up with me."
He liked being able to joke with the boy, being able to relax. Yukine didn't know that he was a phoenix - as far as he knew - but he'd never let anyone get this close to him. Family aside, everyone was a mark, every discussion was a con. Yukine was the first person who Asher had been this honest with, which was ironic, given that he hadn't told him the full truth, and Yuki was dead.
