You know, I normally adore romance and need it in my dramas, but I am actually loving that there is zero romance or romance set up in this story. There is maternal and sibling love but no romance at all. The Queen cares nothing for the King except insofar as she has to please him for her son’s sake - it’s like working for a mildly unpleasant boss. And the concubines are the same. The King loves none of his many women tho he enjoys enlarging his harem and copious sex. That might be one of the most realistic takes on a royal marriage set up I’ve seen in a while.

None of the princes have a woman except for CP who is married (but whose wife we barely see) and none of them clearly have time or opportunity for romance.

I only chose her as the Crown Princess because she is the most outstanding. I saw your eldest daughter by coincidence. Unlike other young ladies who only learn from their books, she is like a gemstone. Not only did she step up and help the weak, but she was also very compassionate.
