I'm still not over the poor experience I had with my first Love and Deepspace player interaction. They were bitchy and rude for no fucking reason.

You were focused on "target audience."

I'm focused on "anyone who wants to enjoy this content, can do so." Or more so, "should be able" to do so.

At first, I was neutral to having a sixth love interest, "Oh goody, a new source of diamonds to give to Sylus," but the more hate Valko got and the further the drama escalated, the more it fueled me to side with Valko. Because, "Wtf, what do you mean WE'RE too different, too "ugly" for you." Yes, WE because I understand what being hated and ostracized feels like. We, the players, know that Sylus would know what that feels like— Yes, I'm dragging him back here!ヽ(｀Д´#)ノ

And as an artist and a creative myself, Valko deserved to stand side by side with his brothers—I say it this way because they're all created by the same company—the other male leads to the game Love and Deepspace. The stories the developers want to tell and the messages embedded into them deserve to be seen.

I've always been fascinated by nekomimi ( 猫耳, cat ears), especially if the artists keep both human and animal ears, “Why? What function do the top ears serve?” As a dumbass kid—I had yet to fully become a nerd academically back then—I just made sense of the nekomimi as “antennas.” They could FEEL things like vibration, sound, or heat, but they weren’t connected to the actual anatomy of the ear. They couldn' HEAR or differentiate syllables. So, when (ex.) Inuyasha’s ears twitched, to the little kid version of me, it was because his ears were just “VERY sensitive because, of course, he's a hanyou. He has heightened senses.”

But also, Giant Pupper I can ✨️Bully✨️ affectionately. I wrestle my 52kg German Shepard for fun. Valko will also receive this treatment. If you have a large dog with some loose skin, do you ever do that thing where you're pulling and kneading their face like play doh? That's exactly what I expect to be doing. He's also a forward person which I appreciate.

As a CHARACTER, GEEEEEE, I DON’T KNOW. These children got his release cancelled. So, I don’t know much about him. We never got a chance to get to know the big, bad, buff, huffin’, puffin', werewolf.

But going off what I said above and his PVs, I appreciate how open he is to us. “When I like someone, I make a move.” Good. It’s one or the other, I don’t understand the social cues or I see them and completely say, “I dun give a fuck right now.” Either be candid with me or get out. If I love you, I will TELL you, and I want the same in return. This does not exclude the conversation from courtesy or civility. I think that’s the thing both Sylus and Rafayel were missing to me. I really don't care how you view them. Make your own post at this point.

Rafayel wears a jovial, theatrical mask to hide his burdens and loneliness. Sylus and Rafayel… Snarky banter is 50/50 with me. You're either really annoying so.... and I leave you, or you're my mutual/friend and thus have "personality privileges." There's no in between.

BUT in the grand scheme of things,

Valko represents what I’ve been repeating for the past couple of months, “Put your money where your mouth is.” [Rant also found here but for a different fandom] I wanted very much for InFold/Papergames to succeed, but their incompetence has led me to return to my “toxic ex,” Genshin Impact. This entire time, I’ve been reading/listening to the LaDS fandom’s grievances: the lighting issues, lack of hair amd body diversity, lack of materials for diamond farming—only once have I messaged the company in support of the fanbase calling these out before this boycott. But Valko’s cancellation was the final straw. Valko now represents “Us versus Them,” the massive billionaire company and their bootlickers taking advantage of us and our wallets.

Yes, I'm doing this thing.⬇️ But I'm not devoting a lot of effort into it, or paying Elon Musk for ranting space. 🙄

I tell people outright that I play Love and Deepspace. Assuming you're around mentally mature and sensible people, they'll shrug it off, say "That's cool," and move on, or they may ask you more about it. In which case, just tell them it's a mobile game with a cool story, combat, and events.

If you are not around mentally mature people, who are familiar with the toxicity of LaDS, I laugh rather loudly and nod "Yea–" because... they're not entirely wrong. Homophobia, transphobia, internalized misogyny, and this current wave of manic fans does not help LaDS's image in the general public.
