Zillennial isn't a real age group. And it shows in your behavior
Okay. I'll do your research for you since you probably are too young to have learned any of this yet. It's a bit esoteric, so I don't blame you for your ignorance. Zillennial is a term for a range of 2-3 birth years between millennials [gen Y] and gen Z. It got it's name in the 2010s for being a group that was often ostracized from both Y and Z groups for being "too close" to the other one. It's more commonly used for those of us who were raised alongside people in one or both groups.
I would love to close my door so I can sleep since it's 4am and I have WORK TOMORROW, but unfortunately, my cats love me
if you don't do anything else today,
Please have a moment of silence for the people who were killed instead of freed when news of emancipation finally reached the furthest corners of the american south.
have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.
and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.
black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.
if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.
This is Juneteenth.
white people CAN interact with this post. share it, spread it.

An old horror creature design of mine. A hood with a skull and long arms that fold into feathered hands at the shoulders. It overtakes and guides the wearer, though not entirely. They remain conscious while the creature binds with their mind.
It was not intentional inspired by any specific cultures or tales, but years later I found it to be somewhat similar to a comic representation of a South American Indigenous God, and it got me thinking.
I hope someday to be able to do some inspired worldbuilding with intention and giving the respect these cultures deserve.
Skull-masks are generally inspired by indigenous cultures, and my use of the beads and feathers had pretty undeniable subconscious and conscious inspirations. I hope to rework it later into something more respectful. And maybe to learn more about different nations use of beading along the way.

I FOUND THE MISSING ERASER
If you ever wondered why they call tattoos and piercings "unprofessional" and "unsophisticated"

I really like painting lace by hand.
Bringing this back to the top :3 I'm thinking of doing more for this game, but since it's an adult game I might end up saving it for a different account 😔
I'm bored have an old sketch that's been sitting in my logs. The piece this was for got abandoned but it was a fun time thinking about it.
Can you guess the fandom?
A secret to getting better with drawing is to not erase any lines.

days of color pants ☀️🌿
i’m absolutely in love with their shape, decided to combine them with aurora’s sneakers for the relaxed oversize look
THERE'S COLOR DIPPED PANTS???
please tell me I didn't miss them and they aren't paywalled 🙏
Request! For next stream
Simple design! Ez warm up
Thank you for the warm up!
Read those TOS !
I'll be catching up on the details for a few sites soon. Namely Twitch so I know what it defies as requiring the Mature tag on streams.
I don't think my usual work falls under that, but horror days might.
The other day I was surfing the internet and I found this specialized painting colour wheel, it shows how real paint colours relate to each other.
Outside: the purest/brightest colours.
Inside: naturally muted or earthy colors, like browns and ochres.
The Center: dark neutral tones used for mixing shadows.
The Lines: the lines connect colors that are opposites, if you mix them you neutralize the tone creating clean grays or browns instead of muddy puddles.
I want to share this with you because I think it is really illustrative!
Reference: “Quiller Wheel” by Stephen Quiller
Some personal additions/findings
Pigment-based colors mix differently than light-based, and it's much more difficult to achieve bright saturated purples with pigments. This wheel is for pigments (just adding for the sake of having the vocabulary)
Using copper-based pigments vastly increases the range of blues and greens, but it still has a narrow range that can be used to mix truely bright purples and violets.
Indigo can be a little bit easier to reach. But once you're talking about pigments and dyes, "indigo" can sometimes refer to the source of the color (a dye made from the indigo plant, a deep navy blue) OR the hue on a traditional colorwheel, which leans slightly more purple than navy.
Also to note; dyes can be turned into pigments, but pigments (to the best of my knowledge) cannot be turned into dyes.
Gosh I hope my headset comes in soon :(
And I need to order a new camera
And set up an overlay....
.... And (trails off)

Feeling nostalgic for Sky lately so here's an old piece from my now-dead insta
Hard to think it's been SIX YEARS my goodness 😭 this game has so much more in it now
hello! From an ask/tag game: list 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who reblogged something from you! Get to know your mutuals and followers ✨️
Moths! I like most critters tbh but I have a soft spot for pastel and brown moths.
That moment when my cats' pupils get all big. Even better if they're playing or just really excited that I'm home.
Freshly washed & tumble dried pillows (人*´∀`)。*゚+ with clean sheets after a shower
Old games & anime (mostly from before 2015). I really like the way Studio Ghibli uses the color green when Miyazaki-san is the director. It's so beautiful.
Working on sets and props for stage. It's been YEARS since I got to do set work and I miss it so much.
