Enciodes SilverAsh is that type of person who is surrounded by a lot of people yet he still feels alone. He cannot share everything with them because there is a line he won't permit anyone to cross.

Most people he met has an assigned value or usefulness to his goals but he does still care for them.

And then he met the Doctor, someone worthy of his recognition. He sees Doctor as his equal, and someone who can understand him. He wants the Doctor to become his friend, someone he can talk to and share about everything. He wants to cross that line for the Doctor. And he wants their relationship to be beyond just a business transaction. He wants to emotionally connect with the Doctor.

He wants to help the Doctor, make Doctor smile and be satisfied with him even if he might gain nothing from it. Because he recognized the Doctor as someone who deserves it from him.
