Vaggi had been in the city when she saw someone unusual walking through the Entertainment District that day.
She kept her eye on this strange person until she witnessed what they were doing: freezing anyone that got in their path.
Immediately, she knew this was a concerning threat, and began to follow.
Soon, the figure walked up to Vee Tower and entered. Unable to get inside herself, she called Niffty and asked if she could follow this person.
Niffty arrived soon after and did as she was told, following them through the vents.
Inside, she saw several unfamiliar faces. A strangely dressed man speaking with Valentino, a small fluffy goat speaking with the figure from before, and a purplish teenager speaking with Vox.
Niffty watched from the vents as the stranger spoke with Vox, and froze him solid.
She reported back to Vaggi, regrouping. Vaggi decided to continue shadowing this strange person with Niffty after they left the tower.
The two followed them all the way into a back alley, where a strange portal stood shimmering.
Once the figure stepped through the portal, they slipped through quietly, finding themselves in a strange and unfamiliar place…

“Huh…” She squints in suspicion, creeping closer to make sure he’s actually passed out, still with her spear pointed out.

Vaggie ties him up with rope and carries him into an empty room in the hotel, waiting for him to wake up.

*He shifts around slightly in his sleep, feeling that something was...off. But it wasn't enough to wake him fully. He finds a more comfortable position and continues his nap*
Vaggie bangs on his door.
“Oi, Vexter! You slept in!”
*He grumbles softly at the unfamiliar yelling, shifting around on his bed. Or was it his bed? It didn't feel right. He gently rubs his eye, letting his vision clear up to find...yep. Definitely not his room. Or home. Maybe even city. Was he even on the same planet? Everything felt dark and dreary, more than usual. He looks back to the door, his hand clutching his chest as his breathing grows heavy* "...who- who are you? Where am I?! Dis- ain't NONE 'A DIS RIGHT!"
“Vexter, are you fucking drunk again?! I swear… if you’re drunk again, I’m going to kill you…”
She continues banging.
“Open the door, Vexter!”
*He nearly falls off the bed, quickly standing up to look around the room for anything he couldn't possibly use as a weapon. Probably need clothing first. He quickly grabs a shirt from a hammock in the corner along with a pair of shorts. A perfect fit. Odd* "MA'AM! I DUNNO WHO YER TALKIN' TO, BUT'CHA GOT DA WRONG GUY! HELL, I GOT DA WRONG PLACE! CAN- SOMEONE EXPLAIN TA ME WHAT'S HAPPENIN'?!"
“Vexter, stop kidding around! You’ve got 10 seconds to open the door or I’m kicking it down! You’re late for today’s redemption exercises and I’m not letting you skip them again!”
*He breathes out a soft sigh, fixing the shirt as he looks to the door* "Ya got da wrong poirson, miss! I dunno who dis 'Vexter' fellow is. Look- can I jus' get an explanation on where I am? My blood pressua can't take much more"
“If you really think you can fool me, Vexter, then you’re definitely drunk right now. I’m coming in!”
*She kicks the door down with ease and steps inside before freezing when she sees him, muttering and lowering her face into her hand*
“Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me…”
*He jumps back into the hammock as she barges in suddenly, flailing around to try to get out* "CHRIST- WHAT DA HELL'S WRONG WIT' YA, LADY!? YA DON'T JUS' BREAK A DAMN- oh..."
*He manages to sit up in the hammock, staring at her in slight disbelief* "...what...are you..?"
“Not this shit again…” *She groans, not responding or explaining things in the slightest*
*He stares at her even more confused, slowly blinking* "...WHA'DA MEAN "AGAIN"!?? WHAT- WHA'S HAPPENIN' 'ERE AGAIN!!?"
*She looks up at him*
“We’ve had this happen before. I don’t know why this keeps happening, but people have turned back into their human selves again and lost their memories in the process.”
She thinks for a moment before continuing with a question.
“What year do you think it is?”
*He's now staring at Vaggie as if she's lost her mind, slowly sliding out of the hammock* "Year? Eh, last time I checked da calenda, it was '43. Why'd ya ask?"
“It’s 2025, Vexter. You probably died in 1943 or 44.”
*He freezes slightly, his stare starting to grow more concerned* "WHA- DIED?! WHA'DYA MEAN "DIED"- I AIN'T DEAD! Least I don't feel dead- WHERE DA HELL EVEN AM I!? FUCK, my heart's finna explode.."
“You just said it.”
*He sits down on the bed, gently rubbing his head as he looks up at her* "...'m not followin'"
“Hell, Vexter. You’re in Hell.”
*He freezes up slightly, taking a moment to process what she just said* "...I- yer jokin' wit' me right..? I can't...mean- I KNEW I'd go ta Hell- but...not- not NOW! I- I still got SUMTHIN' left in me..."
“I’m sorry, Vexter. This is probably coming as a shock to you since you’re experiencing this for the second time in your life.”
She grumbles to herself.
“I can’t deal with this right now. I just- ugh…”
*He falls back onto the bed with a loud sigh, gently rubbing his face* "Let dis be a dream, dammit. Dis 'Vexta' muddafuckas got some explainin' ta do- what kinda name even is dat?"
“You’re Vexter, dumbass. I didn’t choose it; you did. You’ve lost your memory and been turned back into a human. Though your personality is about the same.”
She sighs, considering something.
“Will you be alright if I leave? Don’t get yourself into any trouble. When sinners get turned back into their human selves, it usually doesn’t go well. Like when Trace went from anti-social to fucking psycho. Just stay here, alright? Stay away from anyone that isn’t me or Charlie. She’s the bubbly one with a red suit and braided blonde hair.”
*He stays silent out of pure confusion, just deciding to shakily nod at her request. There was too much going on in the span of half an hour that he wasn't ready for. What kind of nightmare did his subconscious conjure up this time?*
She leaves the room grumbling.
