Don't overwork yourself, start with some silly doodles, they don't need to look good just practice your lines. Try to do it 3 times a week or even once. Your brain needs to get used to it slowly otherwise it will become a blackhole.

If this is your first experience in drawing, you can trace over the hazbin hotel scenes from the show, just, don't post them, it's only to learn the anatomy, expressions, colors...

Then practice it, without the photo under it. You can keep the reference, just try to do it in your own way so your brain starts to realize what is wrong and what is not.

You're not gonna do it correctly immediately so just keep repeating that from time to time.

Practice above is used by many artists who join fandoms and want to replicate the style or make it similar to the actual thing.

If this is a human AU I highly recommend looking at humans in Helluva Boss, because that's what I did.

You can do faces first, I feel like Alastor is the one hard to draw... So it would be nice to start with him.

If you have been drawing before, draw a 'base' in your artstyle, have a reference next to it so it's easier for you to understand shapes of the characters and simply start drawing hair, eyes etc.

It will look crooked, it really will. BUT that's the point of learning. It took me so long to understand that Hazbin style has a lot of sharp lines for some characters. just... DON'T GIVE UP. Lucifer is very 'soft' when it comes to that.

Learn how to shade, choose colors. This one is also hard, but once you get it you're able to save your art even without perfect lines. Example: shade red with purple, shade purple with blue, yellow with orange/red.

For lighting, it really depends but I use airbrush on the 'add' layer and then some sharp pencil.

I did the math (incorrectly probably lmao) using the ages listed in the casting call, the fanwiki, and general consensus in fics and this is what I got. Alastor is older than Vincent by at least 8 years and at the most 18 years. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE CRAAZZYYY

I adore their dynamic Alastor being genuine in his own unique way haha he can come off as rude and romantic at once

Alastors neck is super sensitive, he wears high collars to protect his throat at any cost. His voice is his greatest possession and there have been instances where people would try and damage it. Allowing Vincent to kiss his neck shows a great deal of trust, that’s why Vincent keeps worshipping even if Alastor complains
