SPYDER. OH MY GOD. I NEED TO YAP ABOUT HIM

I definitely think Spyder is so damn underated in the States fandom. Maybe its just me, but I’ve barely seen ANY fan material on him and I need. To talk about this.
Like the fact that hes literally the second in command of Westhelm, arguably the BIGGEST empire in both island. The fact that he was literally the FACE OF WESTHELM in official meetings (cause we all know how Shcpood feels about meetings). THE FACT THAT HE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FIGURES IN WESTHELM??? Spyders position in the empire and overarching story is already aboslutely batshit.
AND THEN THE SACRIFICE.
AT EXACTLY 2:03:44 (I deadass remember this, did not search it up), PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE LINE IN THE WHOLE VIDEO
AND HE DOES IT
AND HE DIES
AND THEN THE ENTIRETY OF WESTHELM CROSSED AN OCEAN, PREPARED TO FIGHT IN HIS NAME
IMAGINE. A WHOLE ARMY SCREAMING YOUR NAME WHILE CHARGING IN BATTLE. AND HE WAS NO EMPORER, RULER OR SOMEONE BEING WORSHIPED, BUT HUNDREDS WERE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR YOU.

I strongly believe that Westhelm’s story arc would not be the same without Spyder. If it was someone else, someone unwilling to sacrifice themself for a chance of their nation winning a war, Westhelm would not have been the same. And so it sucks when I see little to no Spyder-centric stuff. Like sure he’s mentioned as side characters in fics, and are drawn in like a group, but never as just him and that sucksss
So tldr, I love Spyder, deadass my favourite character in the whole series, and I really wanna see more content of him because I feel like he is HIGHLY underappreciated. Thats all thanks :)
