the ender dragon (real) (not fake)

this one was very interesting to work with because well. as u can see theres not a lot to go off of! i wanted to try something different than how blob skins (which is what im calling both of these) are usually handled, and we ended up with these two things as a result. originally i was going to only do one for the pink wool skin, but the idea to do the 4D one came to me in a vision. like suddenly i was like oh my god this is perfect. the hard part was coming up with a combination of shapes that i was both capable of properly visualizing to draw, and would form a satisfactory silhouette. i drew a bit of inspiration from blazes (you can see this especially in some of the other sketches), and went with disconnected floating parts to really lean into the sort of unnaturalness of the design (and also so it would be easier to draw). also yes i did freehand nearly all of the lines.

the pink wool one went through a few other ideas in my head that didnt get sketched out. originally i was planning to do something based off the structure of wool fibers, but i wasn't able to conceptualize something more appealing than just a clump of tangled stringy stuff so i ditched that. another idea that i floated was making him some sort of helical geometric entity, but i felt that strayed a bit too far from his skin. the idea behind the one i settled on is sort of like a texture glitch? because the textures that display when the game cant find an actual texture for a thing is magenta and black (see below, screeshot taken from a phoenixsc video) so the pink rectangular texture is the wool, but its sort of fading/glitching away to reveal the black underneath. id played with using a non-humanoid shape for the black base, but i couldnt get my attempts at a bipedal sheep to work so humanoid it was
