Maggie I need to know your thoughts on the beach read adaptation??

I’m very in denial ab it personally 😅 bc out of all the em henry books beach read is the one most near and dear to my heart, I have made it a tradition to re-read it every summer and this will be my 4th year doing so

I have many many thoughts and opinions ab it and they’re not very good atm 😭😭

at first I wasn’t that bothered because I didn’t fully know the PS lore and I thought he was okay in the white lotus and I was so numbed to bad book adaptation casting anyway that it didn’t click to me but now I’m like… that’s just categorically not gus!! and not even in a way that I can be like oh I could probably ignore the picture of him I had in my mind but in a way that’s like… this is actually tragic? and seeing emily henry’s reaction to the casting god bless her heart that is not what she wanted for him 😭

any scholarly motivation has left me BUT i finally watched rivals and i am currently obsessed and i was a very big rutag shipper but i just saw an edit of taggie and bas to ‚lover you should have come over‘ and now i have doubts i would share with you but i am scared of leaking my tiktok account

omg I can’t decide between rupert/taggie and bas/taggie BUT I have an awful unhinged theory that bas is the snake for corinium!!! I think he makes sense to be the person who stole the tapes and gave them to tony because no one would ever suspect him haha, like all of a sudden he’s always in the o’hara house!! it would be a great twist but also idk I do love bas and taggie he’s always been very sweet with her!!

she got some cool things to play with her baby doll I got her a high chair and some food, a new pram and a little travel crib!! so she can tuck her baby in next to her bed before she goes to sleep 😭😭

But whenever you update about the little things that go on in your life like your nieces bday party, I get such a sense of relief like I get the feeling that everything will turn out fine, if that makes sense?

Anyways sorry if that’s weird, it’s just nice to see mundane yet profound things that go on.

that’s how I look at my week all the time!! like I can have an awful week but I always end it seeing my nieces and nephew and it’s like I let everything go and start fresh and it’s nice not to carry too much into the next week!!
