Sideways Time

in ??????? news, somewhat related, I am getting double the responsibility that I have now (leading two teams and possibly adding 2-4 more direct reports) and a new title, but I am not at all sure that it comes with more pay, which sucks. Also I am losing the two most knowledgeable about my tech stack people to a different project and I have no idea about our roadmap, current or future because it's all chaos now.

in :/ news, I am also worried about a glass cliff situation AND my current co lead is going to be my boss AND the husband is mad on my behalf because he thinks it should be the other way around and I'm so so so tired and just want to be like, I am still drawing a paycheck, I could honestly not give less of a fuck who my boss is as long as they like me and think I am competent, which this guy does.

in :( news, the survivor's guilt + imposter syndrome combo is brutal and I miss my dog.

in petty news, the bakery i made a special stop at to get cookies was out of cookies so I bought two notebooks from the japanese stationery/book store and none of that makes up for the fact that my relaxing day off was basically a morass of guilt and sadness at so many of my work friends getting laid off and dealing with Stuff(tm) on my phone. Also the sandwich I had been looking forward to for months was apparently a seasonal sandwich and was not at the cafe. so bleh.
