here is a list of games that I’ve played that absolutely will not help the effects you are all feeling from this current pandemic. this is not to say that these are bad games, but they are ones that will make you crawl up the wall after you finish. enjoy :) ***will be adding more btw

- Anatomy

Chances are you are stuck in your house as you read this, so why not play an entire game that is about how your house is actually alive! Anatomy focuses on the physiology of the home and drops the player in a house that has slowly gone mad from isolation (no the irony is not lost on me). So next time when you’re sneaking into your kitchen at 3 am to get another late night snack, you can stare at the dark corners of your kitchen and wonder, why is something so quiet feel so alive?

- Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture

Uncomfortable with the word quarantine yet? Well you will hear it plenty in this. This is a game where a town suddenly falls ill and everyone is forced to isolate until everyone suddenly disappears and you are meant to investigate what happened. In this case, the illness is supernatural so not quite like what we’re going through but it will still be a little too close for comfort when you play regardless.

- SOMA

Of course SOMA is going on this list because who doesn’t need a little existentialism to spice up their already deteriorating mental state during this time. Have fun as you play as Simon Jarret as you try to escape the ruins of an underwater facility while you contemplate what the definition of humanity really is and whisper to yourself “who am I?” in your bathroom mirror at 2 am.

- Night in the Woods

Remember going places? Do you miss seeing your friends? God me too. While this game has nothing to do with our current situation, it will definitely make you miss social interaction as you watch Mae walk around her neighborhood surrounded by other people and getting to hang out with her friends every single day. if you’ve never been jealous of a video game character, you can be now.

- Don’t Open Your Eyes

Do you want your own personal sleep paralysis demon that constantly tells you to open your eyes? No? That’s okay but you get one in this game anyways.
