As a newly emerging small business, we've had numerous discussions about blogging and how it's essential - especially for creative companies - to showcase your unique viewpoint. So we thought it only natural for Sidecar that, instead of beginning by posting the typical critique of trending design styles and new places opening, why not pay homage to where it all began for us as creative partners - at our most beloved dives in and around Columbus, OH. The Dive Bar - where good design means comfort, familiarity, and no fuss. We've had some of our best brainstorms at a couple of High Beck's mismatched bar stools. Right next to a recycled six-pack caddy of all necessary accoutrements for a hot dog with the bun toasted just so, and only a short traverse to graffiti - filled bathrooms that inspire the soul and a pair of dartboards to sharpen the mind. In Sidecar's opinion, no amount of polished finish can replace the importance of a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Keep following for more periodic posts on the best gems in Columbus.
